Then that's the driver's fault. Like I said, providing it's not your fault, the dash will help you. If someone is constantly breaking the laws of the road, the problem isn't the dash cam, it's the driver.

I've been around too many people who prefer to lay blame on everyone but themselves. Guess it really depends on the environment. I've been burned before from people doing everything they can to avoid responsibility, which causes a very long and stressful insurance process. Even worse if the party at fault has a passenger who will side with him/her, so now they have a "witness" against your word which ended up with me losing a claim, once.

There are also incidents where road rage people would try to brake abruptly in front of you in an attempt to put you at fault for any collision, since majority of the time, the one causing the rear end is at fault. But if there was proof that the driver was intentionally trying to cause harm to you, you would have a stronger case.

Just food for thought.

Well we now live in a police state theres a camera on every street light here in broward county fl. in the future the cops will have real time video on every law broken on the street as well as car wrecks.

That's great, when that finally happens everywhere, and hopefully the accident (assuming not your fault) occurs precisely at a street light, in a camera angle that is beneficial to you.

Until they also add cameras in every stop sign, neighborhood intersection, entire freeway, and all other areas where an accident could occur (which is every feet of everywhere), I plan to rely on myself.
