If those hood stripes (minus the horizontal part) were areas of bare aluminum and then you clear-coated that over top of the entire hood, I think it would look pretty

If those hood stripes (minus the horizontal part) were areas of bare aluminum and then you clear-coated that over top of the entire hood, I think it would look pretty awesome. Of course you'll need to strip and respray for that effect. I've been considering something similar for about a year. These cars don't do traditional stripes well... or hood pins, louvers, or other classic muscle car things for that matter. But if done properly, an accented Z will be a thing to behold.
![]() I'm not a fan of it as-is, but props for making the effort. Remember that most of the jokers on this forum bashing you never tried to make anything original in their lives. They buy a bunch of bolt-on parts and a body kit from Amuse, have someone else paint it, and then call it "custom." IMO "custom" isn't something you can buy online.
