Picking up a 14 base + sport tomorrow - anything to look for?

Beyond the normal inspection, anything in particular I should look for when I go through this thing tomorrow?

Milage, oil condition, strange sounds by the tranny, differential or engine. Listen for knock or ping. Make sure alignment is good if there's any vibration when you brake or while you're simply riding. Maybe excessive outside noise. See if the dealer guy gets nervous with your questions, do some research on the car and then ask the dealer about everything you learned lol usually gives a good laugh because dealers dont know what they're selling. Body conditions and interior. AC and electronics and the engine lights...

If the Z is manual feel the clutch, of its super soft or it doesn't return fully then don't even bother.

Check tires wear on the inside and outside.

Paint swirl and paint condition

Oil leaks and oil consumption

Condensation in headlights and taillights

Go for a 20-30 min. test ride, tell the seller to be quiet and just listen and feel. Take it on the freeway and get it fully warmed up. Take your hands off the wheel and see if it drifts from side to side ( not good) and take your hands off the wheel while braking to see if it pulls or shimmies,

(also not good). Check all gauges & mostly don't be afraid to WALK AWAY!!!

Check under the hood if it's been overly dressed. Check fluids on the right compartment under the hood. Color and levels. Check the battery compartment to make sure nothing stupid happened to the battery.

Pull up the rear hatch carpet and make sure the spare is there.

Rub one off onto the driver seat then come back in a month to see if it got pregnant

It's a Nissan, not a Ferrari. I'm not being demeaning, just basic car stuff. Assuming it wasn't a track whore or completely neglected you'll be fine. Carfax obviously.

Have them put it on a lift & inspect for road rash; you may get them to knock off a few $$$ if it seems excessive.
