Im sorry but this is typical tough truck guy behavior. For some reason they think a truck is a race car and it makes them a bad ***.

Obviously, it's bad form to diss a stranger's behavior.

To be devil's advocate, however - I think we should admit that we are a bit OCD about our cars. Most people do not carry detailing supplies with them in their car. Taking care of a car to most people is checking and changing fluids on schedule...and running it through a car wash when it gets really dirty.

I know it's horrible, but the "Z", to them, is just a car - not an icon. Their loss.

The correct spelling for that dude is n-o-s-e-y! And, BTW, although I don't worry too much with my '04.5 Coupe's exterior (it rains a lot down here!), I am OCD with oil-changes, oil filter, coolant, K&N air filter, etc. It wasn't that guy's business to make the comment. Greetings!

He's jealous! It's your car, take care of her!
I'll bet the dash board of the truck ,is covered in dust and the seats are dirty! He has skid marks in his underware. Has dirt under his finger nails, that he doesn't clean, before he foreplays his wife.

I will admit we are OCD about our car. But I simply just hate a dirty looking car when it comes down to an iconic Z. And I hate when I use to let the bird dropping bake and leave yellow marks after washing so I try to quick detail it once or twice during the week before I wash her on Sundays. And again quick detailer + small microfiber towel in the Z is win win.

yeah that was why I was happy to see a black GT-R and the driver giving me a thumbs up on the street, that made up for the gas station encounter.

Dwight Frye will become famous soon enough

Shortly after I bought my new Z in September, I parked it under a streetlight in a parking lot. I came out to find a huge bird dropping on the hood baking in 95 degree weather. When I got home, the crap had already left a stain which required a little polish to remove. I don't know if there was any wax on the car from the dealer or factory but did the full Zaino treatment the next weekend. I too keep a small spray bottle of detailer and a MF towel in my car. I have seen how quickly bird crap can etch or stain paint and with a few coats of Zaino on the car and the means to remove it immediately I feel like my investment is protected. The clown with the truck should mind his own business.

I go for the hybrid look, clean wheels, windows and exhaust tips... otherwise I wash it once a month or less. Cars dont stay clean here in Chicago for longer than a day or two... The interior is spotless, but from in there you can't see the panels... some of you may like to show off the wax but I like driving the car.

IMO

I agree with you on enjoying the driving portion of this car as well but I really like to make it shiny and than drive it knowing that your car is spotless
