I feel really bad for you. :( You had some nice plans for that Z.

Spooler 03-15-2016 07:51 PM

It's not done yet. Still waiting. I give it a 10% chance I will be driving it again.

Mike 03-15-2016 09:44 PM

at this point, total is better.

Gerg 03-15-2016 09:52 PM

Yeah... it's hard to tell from the one rear pic, but if there is sufficient damage to the rear right quarter, and almost anything to the frame, it's going to be a total loss, and it's probably better that way. I have a lot of time trusting heavily rebuilt vehicles... they just never feel *quite* the same afterwards.

Hopefully you didn't have any harm to yourself, but sometimes the stiffness and back/neck pain doesn't set in right away. Just remember, if you get a lawyer to handle the interaction with their insurance company, it automatically pays out triple for medical bills. (at least, it does here in Georgia).

Since you got rear ended, I don't think anyone is going to dispute that it's 100% the other guy's fault.

Spooler 03-17-2016 09:06 PM

Well, the Dr. didn't like what he saw on my X-rays. I am going in for an MRI tomorrow. Not good. I feel like crap. Keep your fingers crossed it is nothing serious. I hate going to the Dr.

kenchan 03-17-2016 09:07 PM

wow sucks, hang in there!

Fuzzzy 03-17-2016 09:21 PM

Worst news yet. Good luck.

Hotrodz 03-17-2016 09:22 PM

Many prayers and thoughts heading your way. Hoping that it is nothing.

Tell me about it. They messed with it Monday and it was killing me Tuesday. Follow up appointment was today. They scheduled me in for an MRI the next day which is unusual. For my knees it took a couple of weeks.

Good luck dude! I hope everything comes out ok.

Duc_Z09 03-18-2016 12:05 PM

I hope you're OK because in the long run that's all that really matters. Despite what Nissan may imply, NISMOs aren't all that rare in the grand scheme of things; you'll easily find another one if that's what you want.

Watch it bud.... I am feeling better today. Hope you are doing the same.

Rusty 03-19-2016 10:50 PM

I'm home. Sitting in my lazyboy with my feet propped up. Taking it easy.:D Doctors orders. Now I have to take a blood thinner. For how long, I don't know. :( My calf still swells up some if I'm on my feet too long.

Spooler, be carefully of the good day/bad day feeling. Feel good one day and over do it, and pay for it the next day.

Spooler 03-22-2016 01:05 PM

Just sitting around waiting on the word from the insurance company. Looks like repair costs are at 22K. Not gonna happen, they will total it first. I have already got a car lined up as a replacement. Of coarse it is a Nismo and MB in color. I wish they would hurry up. the drive back and forth to work is horrible now days.

LOL, well I am done. 2 ruptured disks in my neck. Guess the Dr. did see something. Don't know if I will make Zdayz this year.

DavidZ370 03-22-2016 08:03 PM

Ohh my god, it's like adding injury to insult, sucks to hear about the nismo, and your health. This is just a road block my friend, you'll be back better than ever with a newer car.

Ps: that bodily injury money ain't so bad either

Oh crap! :( Sorry to hear that. Need to take care of that neck. No plan yet on fixing the neck?

Fuzzzy 03-22-2016 08:15 PM

Damn! That really sucks. Take care of yourself. The car is the easy and least important part.

Forgot about that. Better start talking to a lawyer now.

Already have. 5 weeks of PT then we will go from there. The bad part is I was keep awake last night with a new area dead between my lower shoulder blades. Guess it is back to the Dr. He may not have found them all.

Rusty 03-23-2016 07:16 AM

When I was rear ended a couple of years ago in my PowerWagon. I fell fine for 3 days, then it hit me. Felled like I got kicked by a horse in between my shoulder blades. Just everything was missed aligned. 3 weeks at a bone breaker to get straighten up, plus drugs for pain. Hopefully, you just got some nagging leftover pain that you are just noticing now. Everything is catching up to you. Best thing to use is Bayer Back and Body aspirin.

axmea? 03-23-2016 08:29 AM

Sorry to see your situation escalate. Hope things get better for you. That's some major damage at 22k and it did not seem like it in pictures.

The right rear unibody is pushed in about 6-10 in. The right rear outer and inner quarter are done. The trunk floor is done. The shock tower shows some damage. The picture doesn't do it any justice. I am lucky to be walking and talking. It was a heck of a hit.

Hotrodz 03-23-2016 12:26 PM

Get well soon my friend...I will miss you at ZDayZ, I was looking forward to hanging with you and Rusty.

I am not done yet. We will see how I feel. Keeping my options open. It doesn't look good at this point though.

Rusty 03-23-2016 03:29 PM

You make it to ZDayZ. I got some moonshine for you to try out.
