Default Tiburon vs 370z - Comparison from owners -

Hi All, im new to the forum and i am curious which members have owned a tiburon before moving up to the 370z. Which was the biggest 'upgrade' you noticed and what were other notions of the car that felt different to you. Minus the obvious fwd to rwd. More so in suspension, engine noise, cabin noise, throttle response, build quality, comfort, ect.

EDIT: If this is in the wrong area i apologize, i felt like it belonged in general discussion.

Literally every single aspect is going to be a gigantic upgrade of epic proportions. You could go test drive one in less than the time it would take to list the differences.

I only have a single experience with a Tiburon. I was in the back seat for a 3-minute drive. I'd rather be in the back of a 370z.

Haha, ive be itching to go for a test drive, but weather has been holding me back fro the last 2 weeks, so all my info has been from this site. Must have read 50% of the site's threads lol.

So maybe I left a couple things out. I have always loved the 370z, never actually been in one though. Also my Tiburon has quite a bit of work done to it to hopefully compete with the next level of sports cars, I realize now that there is a limit to how driveable and functional a high horsepower fwd car can be.

Here are 2 pics of my current Tiburon:

As far as it stands, I am actually parting out the performance and will be setting it up as a dedicated track car but n/a. As much as the suspension was modified I would guess its still less then the 370z skidpad and cornering ability. Power wise it is faster in a straight line by a decent margin. But driveability is where it falls off hard, it is hard to drive it almost anywhere unless I'm in racemode lol.

I want a nice streetable car, with good power, great handling, nice interior, 2 seater, and has a 'fun' factor. I believe the 370z fills this and then some.

Anyways I appreciate the response, I cant wait to drive one this next week. I am literally about to pull the trigger to buy one, I just want to drive one and see if its what I think I would have lots of enjoyment out of. Also it wouldn't stay stock for long, maybe a couple days lol. But I think I would hold back this time and only do the most impactful mods more slowly instead of building an entire car 100 times over.

My wife had a 2001 Toyota Echo 5 Speed manual when we met. When she first rode in my 240Z and then my 370Z, she thought they were both big improvements.

Does this help?

I hope so.

I put on a boat load on miles on both a '06 Tib and my Z. The Z will feel more stable on the hwy at higher speeds for sure, around town the big difference will be more power with the Z. road noise is much higher with the Z, but I had a LOT of extra sound damping in the Tib. fit and finish was about the same, maybe a little nicer materials in the Z.
The one thing I will note, I had less mechanical trouble with my tib then my Z.

If you have any specific questions you can shoot me a pm also.

Thanks for the response, this is what I'm after, I sent you a PM. I realized I was going to incite flaming but didn't expect so much from the Z crowd lol.
