The Nismo is overpriced though! Seen one the dealer was trying to sell for $46,000 you gotta be kidding me.

I had a 2010 V6 Mustang with a ProCharger which was a really fun car, but I haven't driven a S550 model, so I can't comment on that. But I can honestly say I'm very happy with the "Z". I have the Sport model which is really great value for less than $34K.

And as the comparison video mentions, I would really like a telescoping steering wheel. I can never quite get comfortable with the seat adjustment.

Mustangs, I like the look of, but I wouldn't call it a beautiful car, just good looking. Also I see Mustangs everywhere and it loses appeal.

I agree the z is a gorgeous car I constantly stare at it in my garage while relaxing having a beer...and say to myself "damm that is one sexy sports car":yum:

I see mustangs everywhere, very few Zs.Ive had both and the Z is alot better car, IMHO

The S550 to me is a gorgeous car. They just keep adding weight to it, and that ruins it for me. Nissan was part of a very small group that removed weight and size when moving to a new generation (350Z to 370Z). That's one thing I'm afraid about the Z35, if they make it heavier and larger.

mishuko 01-18-2016 07:03 AM

the scary part is i've seen more gtr's than z's....

interesting take on the reviews.

there was another review done about how fun the car is but unless you're really into race car mode it's definitely not the car for you.

I do really love the looks of this car too. I was out in my garage this weekend just sitting and staring at it... I must admit I kinda got a little bit of a "chubby" while I was out there... :D

I have both cars, although both are very far from stock. Really two different cars, the Mustang is very practical, with a surprising amount of room and great visibility, making it a great daily driver. The Z is much more of a sports car, sacrificing practicality for performance. If you are really pushing the car the Z is much more rewarding, but just driving around normally the Mustang is the better ride.

The Q60 coupe should be in the 3400b-3500lb range. Expect the Z to be at minimum 400lbs lighter.

You can literally kill the clutch hydraulic & exhaust sound weaknesses for $2,600.

Fixed :tiphat:

But I am seriously wondering... what do you consider the handling weakness? I cannot deny that there are many suspension variables that can be improved, and there are a decent number of aftermarket parts to do so. But for a street going sports car, it seems like the handling is a major strength for the Z. The OEM tires aren't the best is all I could think of lol. I'm pretty sure there are a couple of guys with multiple track seasons on the stock suspension still running strong :driving:

Dear Central Florida Mustang drivers,

No, I don't want to race you. Not now, not ever.

Please go hug a ****.

Sincerely,

The 40 year old in the blue Z

P.S. In case you enjoy **** hugging (NTTAWWT), please go cuddle a vag.

That pretty much sums up my feelings on the mustang. Beautiful car that is apparently driven by idiots here in CF.

They have to be doing some major magic on that chassis, then, since the G37 coupe was 3700lbs and the Q50 is listed between 3600-3900lbs.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be a very happy man with a 3000lb Z pushing 400HP from a 3.0L TTV6, but I doubt Nissan wants to invest that much in the car since they apparently hate us all.

re050a's are actually damn solid in DRY and warm/hot conditions. wet conditions, less than optimal tread and other thingies are well... yea.

minus the CSC, the weakest point already mentioned to me is the exhaust note. the g35/37 had such a nicer throaty sound.

not sure if you saw the posts but the new engine is lighter than the current one BUT with plumbing it'll be 50lb or so heavier.

also need to keep in mind with newer technologies in safety/sound dampening (a major complaint from the weak willed) / bells and whistles they will fight to keep it under 3200 unless they seriously adjust the length/width.
