The biggest problem I have is that the OP is downshifting into 4th at 65 mph

The Z can handle 90 mph in 3rd

Completely unnecessary as stated above. I do however double clutch in my Datsun 280Z.

I don't even use the clutch anymore the whole thing is a waste of time.

Depends on my mood. Sometimes I push the clutch in. Go to 5th, then 4th. Release clutch. Other times, I push the clutch in, and roundhouse from 6th to 4th. Release clutch. Every once in awhile. I don't use the clutch. I like to see if I down shift without grinding the gears. About half the time. I can do it.
