Maintenance: Air Filter

I have this warning popped up at 9k miles. Is this premature, or otherwise odd? Just curious, possibly wrong section but my justification is it's more a question about wether

Just curious, possibly wrong section but my justification is it's more a question about wether or not it's normal as opposed to what to do? dunno. anyway any advice always appreciated, cheers.

wow.. must be REALLY dirtly because I'm at 11xxx and no warning.

I drive 90% on clean Highway so filter is probably still pretty new. But I'll check tomorrow just in case.

I didn't even know there was an air filter warning. Is it like one of those periodic oil change warnings or like one of those TPMS warning? Regardless, doesn't hurt to just shake the dirt out of the filters since that's what I use to do at every oil change.

EDIT: Reminds me, maybe you'll find a present like me when I first opened up my airbox.

Found a prize in my left airbox

There is no sensor for the air filter. Must be set in the dash computer maintenance schedule.
