Default 370z touring 6sp w/o sports package

Hello,

I'm buying a 370z touring with out sports package and was wondering if there is a way to install the revsynch feature? Would nissan do this? And would I have to purchase the whole sports package?

BTW this is a private seller.

You cannot purchase the SRM system by itself...you have to buy the entire sports package that it is included with.

I'm sure Ill be the first of many to post on this thread to tell you if you want the SRM and money isn't the issue, since you want to buy aftermarket....i would try to find one with the sports package.

You get other goodies besides the SRM....like a much better than base braking system and front and rear spoiler (which is mainly for looks) and 19in rays forged rims and a viscous LSD.

Well, I can say that money is def an issue.

I'm getting the car for 31k. Fully loaded touring with the navigation package. I don't think I want to pass up this offer

Well in that case....thats a pretty good deal considering low mileage.

But do consider that if you would opt for a nontouring with sports package the price wouldn't be much different. You would only be losing leather seats and nav system.

Its all preference I'm just stating that the sports package itself is a bargain. For $3000 you get all those extras. The rims alone would cost close to that if you bought them separate.

You could swap the whole transmission and reflash the ECU, shouldn't cost more than 5 or 6K.

its definitely not a feature that you NEED if you've driven a standard before.

agree its a cool selling point to make it look like they came up with something great, but its really just a gimic IMO.

Gimmick? No, 100% not need for all drivers. It all depends on what you love to do with your car. I constantly have people in my car wishing they had SRM in there Mustang, 350z, etc., but at the same time I know some older guys who would just turn it off.

I guess the way I look at it is, most say they want the stick to feel the car and I would think the rev sync takes some of that away. I guess you still get the feel up shifting but not down shifting. I just wish Nissan had done the DSG instead, that was awesome in the Audi TT, kinda like the GTR from what I hear.

Never 100% learned heel/toe, but I thought it was more about footwork than feeling the stick?

Thats what I meant feeling the stick shift via your feet in the clutch and gas pedal. I drove Matts Nismo and kinda remembered that feeling and had a small flash back of missing that feeling but I do love the AT quick shifting and you still feel the shifting to some degree.

hey bro i got a touring 370z as well but no sports feature.
at first i was bummed out, because i wanted the akebono brakes n such, but its not so bad.

i called nissan myself about the brakes and he mentioned in order to do that, they would have to upgrade the transmission which for a split second i was thinking... (i had asked him about brakes) then it hit me... the syncro-rev.

the parts and service manager both said it wasnt an option by itself, it had to be included for the whole sports package.

so yeah, i dont remember how much that was... another 5k or so.
you can purchase sports package 370z non touring models for as low as 27k here.

and as for nav, that is good too, but for the 2010 model they will incorporate bluetooth nav for audio!!! so no need for aux cables n such from ur iphone or ipod. ^_^
thats what im waiting for hehe.
