Doesnt matter if i was moving or not...in parking lots its 50/50...however thats not my arguement here, she ran, she lied, she can pay the price to fix my car simple as that...like i said, whether insurence says its 50/50 or shes liable, im still taking it to court. I'm able to get a military lawyer to help me out and thats what ill be doing tomorrow at work is talking with. Today im going to the police station, walmart, gas station, hospital and a few other places where i can find video of her taking off.

Unfortunely the insurence company and dealerships are closed so i cant see how much this will cost...all i know is my door has a small dent and a scratch so it has to be filled and repainted/blended

Whether or not she "ran" or "lied" like you said is irrelevant. It has nothing to do with what happened in the accident. Why would she pay to have our car fixed? You're just as liable in the accident. You were also moving and trying to squeeze in a tight spot.

Yeah, go and take it to court and waste taxpayer money just so a judge would tell you what you already know anyway, that it's 50/50. Lying? Everyone does that. As for the running from the scene thing, that's for the cops and prosecutors to investigate and decide if they want to file charges or not. In this case, the answer is likely not, due to lack of sufficient evidence. It's not for you to decide or investigate, as it has nothing to do with you. Besides, she'll just say that she was afraid that you were some psycho chasing after her at 3 times the speed limit, which is ironically what you may help her prove with the videos you're trying to get.

And what do military lawyers have to do with anything? That's a civilian case. Nothing to do with the military.

im full time army so im under 2 laws...civilian and military, therefor i have access to free military legal advise and military lawyer if need be. I think its ******** that its 50/50 in a parking lot, this women took a turn to wide, was on a cell phone while driving with 1 hand, didnt share the road, ignored the fact that she could have prevented this but still hit me...she had 2 full meters to turn, i had less then 1 foot between me and the curb/parked cars, then she ran, then she provided me with incorrect info, then she lied again to the police in a accident report....which is illegal. And dont give me "waste tax payers money bullsh*t" i pay taxes and i work for the government so **** that...if you want to get into tax payers money, how about we stop giving free money to people on welfare...people that can easliy get a job at a mcdonalds.

Yeah that stuff is common in parking lots. In fact it seems to be more common in wal mart parking lots. That's why I am extra cautious in parking lots, using side entrances, and parking faraway from traffic in isolated empty corners.

actually now that you mentioned it, i happen to think the entire military is a waste of taxpayer money and should be scrapped off. that would save a lot of money for actually important issues like education, healthcare, and infrastructure

Man, thats crazy. Now was she in a Max or Sentra....if she was in Max she should be decent citizen with a good job and be able to pay up as the Max cost the same or tad more than the Z's. I hope that the end results work out in your favor!

I learned my lesson that it's better to lose some time and let someone by than to risk squeezing through to save a few seconds. Although it's not your fault, the consequences are a bitch to deal with. In retrospect, it may have been better to have let this woman make her right turn first before making your left.

I had a '95 Z28 that came along side to the right of a truck stopped at a signal who left about 7 ft between his car and the curb at this intersection. It was one of those narrow streets w/out any lane markers. I was going to make a right at the intersection. The truck looked like either he was going straight or make a left turn. He did not have his blinkers on. When I was to his right ready to make a turn, all of a sudden, I hear this crunch, and he was made a right turn right into me and hit my left front fender. I called the cops to take a police report. The officer, (whom I use the term loosely), took my side of the incident, and sent me away. When I picked up the report later and talked w/ the other person's insurance, I was told it was my fault b/c the officer drew the diagram incorrectly and put the blame on me. I was pissed. It took a long time and effort, but eventually I prevailed, and the blame was placed on the other driver. I did receive a check for my damages. I learned my lesson not to try to rush, and squeeze through a small space to save a little time.

Anyways, my condolences to you, and I hope that bitch has what's coming to her.

Its not her car, the information she gave me doesnt match up. Name and Address on the drivers licence isnt the same with the insurence card. And the address on the insurence card doesnt match up with the vehical regristration.

Also when i first started to make the turn, i didnt realise there was little to no run, couldnt see around her car. Once i realise i couldnt get past her safely i stopped and honked my horn for her to move. She should have moved forward and slightly turned right, then once there was another room i could have went past her and she could have made her full right turn...but instead she just went straight and rubbed against my car. Once again, she was on a cell phone not paying attention.

Is the owner name on the insurance slip the same as the car registration? Maybe they just moved and changed the address while still using the old slip?

Sorry to hear about that man. I work for a state farm agent who's wife is an attorney in the same building. If you really wanna push it (and I wouldn't blame you if you did, people like this should not be driving), my advice to you would be consult your attorney and state your case to them. They should be able to tell you whether or not you have a good case. Not sure what walmart is like in Canada, but here in TX there are cameras EVERYWHERE outside. Good luck to you.

Im gonna say it will still be 50/50 as you could have stopped and let her by. She migh get more fines for leaving the scene but thats probably it. And a military lawyer might be able to give you tips on where to look for laws but thats about it, they are not licensed for that state and cant work the civilian side from what I remember. Thats why they dont do divorces, its a state thing. But I would talk with them for advice. Retired Army here and I love the fact I can go to them for advice and other free things. Like you said you are paying for the service by giving your service.

Parking lot accidents definitely suck... Hopefully her actions will make her the one to blame instead of 50/50 but it's a crap shoot regardless. Sorry to hear about the ride and good luck.

Also, in reference to her running away and lying... (insert racist comment here)

Well i went to the shop today to see how much its going to cost...$1,339.94 to take the small dent and repaint the door/re-finish the front fender/rear quarter panel. Talked to the insurence company. They said if my story is legit then im not at fault...but its going to be hard to prove. Went to the police, filled out a report. Officer said the same thing...said shes at fault but its going to be hard to prove and she will also get a ticket for running/reckless driving. Police called but didnt get a answer form the women, he said once she fills out a report he will let me know what the next step is and give me more info.

I did let her go by....i stopped once realised there was no room, honked my horn for her to start turning right but she drove straight and rubbed against my car just as i was letting my foot off the clutch, car wasnt even able to creep forward...then i heard the grinding noise and put my foot on the brake.

I cant see if you are in canada or the U.S. But here in canada the military jag officers can defend you in civilian court as well. My father used a military lawyer for a civilian dispute when i was younger, when he was in the navy.
