Ladies, do you get odd looks when....

people find out that you're driving the Z car AND it's a 6-speed?

So far I've had these reactions:
- raised eyebrow
- "Really?"
- "I'll bet you're racing it"
(uh, no I'm not)

kenchan 06-26-2015 10:03 AM

nice!

msbc (blackcherry) also drives 'Harry' who is 6MT.

harry likes to draw black ribbons on the pavement.. so i read. :ugh: :icon17:

Blighter 06-26-2015 10:09 AM

there are no girls on the internet

Pintsize725 06-26-2015 10:18 AM

No because I had an AT. Supposedly not a "real sports car" but she sure was breaking men's necks when I would be driving.

2011 Nismo#91 06-26-2015 10:20 AM

I look at anyone drive an auto sports car with disappointment. Automated manuals get a pass though. But I am secretly jealous because stock autos are faster then manuals.

well you gotta expect it a little...motorsports is kinda a guy thing...and to go even deeper to buy a sports car, for a girl and it not just be a "looking good" accesorie is amazing. So yea when i see a girl in a manaul sports car I know shes in it for the right reasons. If a girl drives an auto theres a few more "queues" to look for to guage her real interest. ahaha

speaking of 'girl things' i feel so out of place when i go to joanne fabrics. :ugh:

why the hell i need to go to joanne fabrics in the first place might be a bigger question though!

Z_ealot 06-26-2015 11:19 AM

A woman owned my car before i bought it...she neglected it like it was a piece of crap, but a woman did own it

she probably didnt mean to treat it poorly. She probably was just indifferent

Leingod 06-26-2015 11:36 AM

Gentlemen, do you get weird looks when you walk into a salon for a pedicure?

So far i've had these reactions:

- raised eyebrow
- "Really?"
- "I'll bet you're gay"
(uh, no I'm not)

Spooler 06-26-2015 11:52 AM

Not a big deal. I have had guys look in my car and say, "It's a manual". Well Hello, Yes. If any of my girlfriends in the past wanted to learn manual, I taught them. No biggy.

Well, I'm not a girl, however my wife is and she is the primary driver of the Zs ('8 350Z & '11 370Z); both have a manual transmission. According to her, she did get weird looks from almost anyone found out about that. Her cars are considered "high profile" where she works and her coworkers sort of keeping track of what she has driven that day; a Z or otherwise.
