Dealerships don't know any better and advertise/sell as Nismo model to a dude that doesn't know any better bc it will be his first Nissan Z. Probably won't happen considering most willing to pay the premium for new nismos would check to see if the seats were the OEM recaros.

which is why if you read my scenario, i do state that it would be a dude that wouldn't know any better and also his first Z, thus wouldn't know what to look for, other than it saying nismo and just buying....

i am positive these things have happened before.
