This car just gets too much attention. It is the one thing that I don't like about the Z. Especially in the big city, drawing attention to yourself is not a good thing. I've actually thought about trading the car on this issue alone. The car is a blast to drive though and that balances it out. At least I know, that even if I could afford a Ferrari I would never buy one...too much attention. I'm trying to think of something more stealthy, but still fun. I had a Bimmer 3 series which was a good alternative, but the damn thing was a piece of crap. Now I don't trust the so called great German engineering so Mercedes and Audi are out as well.

Ever have someone whistle at you at a red light :ugh2:?
So awkward.. I'm in the Z with my friend and were talking and I hear a noise but I ignore it and then this guy yells at me from behind me on the left side saying, "hey I like your set up." LOL. Thanks bro. |

Kids are more honest than adults, so if a kid says he likes your car, it must be true :happydance: |
Got the "you have a cute car" comment, from a female co-worker today. That's a compliment right?

Ever since Nissan ran those Altima race car commercials, Altimas keep racing at me. I don't race, but it's pure joy to get up to the speed limit as fast as I can.
Everywhere I go, everyone is looking at my Z. Every sports car revs (which I take that as a compliment because our cars just look aggressive). I've had ladies blow kisses and one even asked if I was married. I didn't consider this before I bought my Z, and don't mind it most of the time...BUT I get very nervous about where I park and like to be able to see my car when I go someplace in the city.. Sometimes I'm shopping and feel the urge to go check on my car. It's the attention that u don't want if u know what I mean sometimes. |
Recently I've discovered challengers love to rev at stop lights next to me.

a bee took a crap on my Z's hood while parked inside my garage.

I had two random guys stop and talk to me last night while my wife was picking up her phone (she left it in a restaurant ) but one guy asked me, "what nationality are you?" I replied American, the guy responded, "Are you a tuner or a ricer?" I was a little confused and just said tuner, the other guy with him said, "See?" then said, "Nice car man," while the first guy said, "No you're a ricer" and walked off.
To clarify to you guys the only modifications I have to my Z are tinted windows, K&N drop ins HPS tubes and a Berk CBE. Apparently driving any import in the Southern states still makes you a ricer to the hardcore rednecks. Oh well, the other guy liked the car and gave a thumbs up as I drove off since the Berk CBE sounds amazing. |
welcome to america

honestly speaking, most people gravitate more towards my modded G than my Z.
when i was working on PDR'ing my dd's due to a hail storm a few weeks back, i had the G parked on the driveway. people stopped by even taking pictures of my ride complimenting me, etc. no comment on my Z. :ugh: |

Yes, any muscle car. Over here in the bay area, they're are SO many mustangs, camaros and challengers. It's ridiculous how many there are lol. One thing I love about the 370z is that you won't see many out there so I somewhat feel like I have a rare car haha..
Oh. And I hate driving near Altimas. Those commercials on TV insprire those drivers a little bit too much. Quote:
