Most is sh** attention tranformed into aggression within moments of seeing me, main culprits around me are single mothers in SUV's picking up their illegitimate children from school or redneck gypsies riding in their stilted pickup trucks donning a pitbull or two in flatbed, sometimes even kids riding safely in there.

I haven't had a compliment in a while.. now that I think of it.
Last one was from a co-worker who didn't know I had this car. She said, "nice car, Is this a special edition or something? I really like this one". I think she was getting confused with the ugly 350z (no offense).
When I first got the car three years ago I would get thumps up, compliments, stares, people taking pics, etc; not so much anymore.

The Z parked on its own speaks for itself. Once it is driven. It is a whole different ball game. Drive it like a douche, you get an equal response. Drive it like a gentleman, you get what you deserve. The Z gets what it is due mainly how it is driven by the driver behind the wheel.

I don't think that is valid statement. You can drive like a gentleman and still get the douchebag response, people trying to push you off the road, and the folks that just have to pass that sports car in the minivan. It is just the way it is.

Let's just agree to disagree. All I'm saying is you get in return what you put out. If you drive like a douche, you deserve what you get in return. Out here where in from, I have not had a negative response simply because I was driving a Z.

Hey guys new to the forum and living in Clarksville, TN and have had my Z for about 3 weeks now and have had a lot of people trying to race me from Mustangs to BRZs. Kind of typical though for an Army post area though. A lot of ricer flybys, especially from BRZs and FRS. Same thing happens to my buddy who rides in a 2010 Hyundai GC.

Not that much, I got far more attention, comments, and stares from my 1994 MKIV Supra. They are so rare to see now. I might see 1 every year at this point.

for clowns

sorry to hear that some idiot ran you off the road, sometimes jackasses are jealous because they drive a ford "PINTO" or VEGA.
thats why i mounted a 200mm cannon anti jackass rocket launcher in my front grill. I let them run me off, or pass me......... then they get the nastiest surprise they never expected!!!!!!!! when i look back i can never see what happend to them because all i see is a cloud of black dust....LOLhttp://www.the370z.com/images/smilies/icon18.gif

Come out to Texas, that will change your perspective on the "you get what you put out" ideology...sadly.

People in the South are more friendly out in public, no one said anything about the drivers.

I get tons of attention in my Nismo. 99% of it is positive but still get dumb ricers trying to get me to race as well.

kenchan 06-08-2015 03:24 PM

a passing taffyapple lady gave me a stare while i sat waiting for the light.. :ugh:

i think she thought my car was a fruit or berry or something edible...

cranzy 06-08-2015 08:22 PM

The first few months after I got the car, I felt like everybody was trying to race me, vans, ricers etc. Now I'm getting a lot of stares when driving during the day cuz of my loud exhaust. Either way, I like the car very much, so I'm not going to part with it just because someone doesn't like it.
