I was an 18 year old high school senior when papa bought me my then new 2009 370Z. I traded it at 74k miles for a 15' Nismo last August and the dealer couldn't believe how good of shape my car was. It's true that with age comes more wisdom and experience.. But if you have a passion for cars you'll take care of it rather it be a Nismo Z, a Porsche 911, or a chevy cruze. That's my 2¢.

Sure are, have you checked craigslist? You can get a used Z relatively cheap.
