OP, most people just get an extra set of rims. You can usually get a set for about $500

I had the same issue until I found some used (slightly bent) OEM rims for 500 bucks. I had them trued ($200) and now have summer rims and winter rims. I think thats a better option than swapping out your rubber every 6 mos.

just an option.

ps the BRZ is *very* different to drive from a Z. I recommend a few very aggressive test drives in both. (ie really open them both up on a freeway on ramp)

...Then go buy your Z

Suppose a farmer with a rowboat is on one bank of a river with a fox, a goose, and a sack of corn. He wants to get the fox, goose, and the sack of corn to the other side of the river but can only carry one at a time in the rowboat.

How does he do it?

Z or FR-S?

Get the Z and a set of winter wheels for the winter tires. swap them at home. Problem solved. While the FR-S/BRZ is a nice looking car, they are slow and not as fun to drive.

You can, however, fit 4 fr-s tires in the z because they come with prius tires and have the section width of a little girl's arm.

nope, 4 tires wont fit. This is what I did:

1) Put tires on my wife's VAN
2) Drop off tires to tire shop.
3) Drive Z to Tire Shop and install.
4) Pick up tires on wife's Van.

Done.

Or you can buy the Z. Do the trailer mod and put a trailer with all your tires.
