Default Miami to Detroit nonstop

Yep, I just drove from Miami to a little town about 40min north of Detroit nonstop in the Z....well stopping for gas and to use the bathroom. Took me 22 hours and the Z handled it just fine. No scratches or chips in the paint (i have no clearbra), no overheating (220 highest oil temp). I was averaging about 21mpg at 70mph.

About the only thing to complain about is Nissans stupid "safety" feature of not letting you control the music box while in motion. But i had my CDs and Ipod so no worries.

Ohh and i forgot how much the roads suck once you hit Ohio...i feel sorry for my cars suspension. And some guy in a BMW in South Carolina tried very hard to get me to race him. Doing the whole speed up slow down thing. Having his passenger roll down his window and try to wave me on and flip me off multiple times since i ignored them. It looked like a 1 series but cant be sure it was bare other then the BMW symbol.

Time to get some sleep!

Nice! I drove to Cali and back in my S2000 2 years ago. 8,000 miles in 2 weeks It was an epic experience!

that sounds like a blast. the farthest i've done was key west to home (east coast of NC) I'm itching to go to cali.

i prefer the west-east coast drive myself.
the 75mph speed limit makes things more interesting.
watch out for the speed cameras around Phoenix though!

Roads in Ohio suck; I can attest to that. One of the reasons we are moving to Atlanta! Just in time before winter. Driving my Z to Marietta this weekend. No more pot holes for my baby.

Before coming to Georgia I would've agreed with you; but there are far worse roads, pot holes, debris, and trash on a lot of Georgia roads and highways which make Cali roads look fit for kings.

Besides, the 5 Freeway is usually nice with multiple lanes
