if you're having a shop install it, makes sure they use the rolls, not pre-cut.

i mentioned this many times, but precut is for hobbists like me that install them at home.

You're not that far off. I have a Subaru BRZ and the full hood alone was $800. Full front bumper was about $400. Full front quarter panels were about $200 each. $1600 to cover the entire car in front of the doors and windshield. Still worth it! I got a bit of a discount overall because I also got my full sides and rear bumper done too. I paid about $2800 for the entire car except the roof and trunk lid.

And again, find out what product he's using and have him prove it is what he says it is. If he charges you that much, make sure its EXPEL or Suntek.

Any 3M product at that price is too much. Also he should cut it himself with a machine or custom cut it, if he buys it pre-cut, it won't protect as much area because they leave a margin for error in installing and the gaps are bigger. If you're paying that much to protect your car, it better cover everything.

800$ for the hood? Really? My seibon vs11 hood was only 800 and some change shipped. That's crazy

for me its the hassle of taking my car to the bodyshop, risk car getting f-ked around by dumbarse porters, finding other issues after the work vs before taking the car in.

i rather spend 350 and clearbra my bumper at home and replace it every 3-4yrs.

unless you got crappy aftermarket paint that was improperly applied, paint will not lift.

Then you don't want to know what I paid for Xpel and C-Quartz.

The guy who did my Xpel would disagree with you on that. With film on rolls you still have to deal with every corner where it can't be wrapped properly and has to be cut. (like the 'pointy' corners on the trailing edges of the hood) The cuts are already there on the precuts and they are perfect. Xpel did their homework. This isn't my opinion, this is what he told me.
He was also surprised to find that the 370 is just about the only car he was able to get a precut for EVERY panel on the car if you wanted. (Xpel)
