Does anyone know where the plaque of authenticity is located on the car? I also want to know if they provide the production # out of 1000 for the 40th.

The plaque is in between the seats on the edge of the cargo area.

The plaque does not show # out of a thousand, nor does anything in the materials included with the car, to my knowledge.

it probably does not show how many out of 1000 because it's different amt in other countries. But I know what you mean...something like the Nismo right? Nissan probably figures that having a plaque that shows from what year to what year is already good enough of an authenticity. But I thought Nissan's website claims you get a certificate with the car too.

Yeah, like the Nismo. Oh well. I just wanted to know if I had #370 out of 1000:)

Nissan 370z Black Edition Europe

Loving the 370z :p

Just picked up mine yesterday, its so stunning. Had a 350z before, but this is in a different league

BTW - The Europe model does have a # of 370 numbering on the plaque! I think us Europeans need to start a challenge to find all 369 other Z's :p

So let me get this straight...you not only get a special black edition that can be optioned with Nav, but you also get a numbered plaque to identify its significance?

:wtf: Nissan USA

/end rant

Congrats and enjoy her!!!

Grats, the Black Edition,it looks hot,be interesting to know how many Blacks there are compared to the Quartz of the 370z's that have gone to Europe.

Some how I think the Canadian 40th will be the rarest of all the Anniversary's.

50 to 88 Canadian models out of 1000 made for North America, only 50-88 of the Canadians will have the Nav package ,unless there are fewer Black Editions then the 50-88 Canadian model.

Do the Fairladies count as 370z's ?If so how many were made for Japan?

BTW what number is on your plaque?

Oh yah, my 40th is at Sea ,according to my dealer ,delivery is still projected at mid April,he showed me the delivery update, think I ll go ask him for a copy, one of those little pieces of paper that will go towards the history of the car .

Chris`I 03-27-2010 11:46 PM

That looks great Bammit! I was undecided as to what the black would look like so chose to wait out a Quartz one, but I would have been pretty happy with black too going by yours  Definately need more pics though!

A fully loaded Black Edition 40th Anniversary edition...exactly what I've been wanting since I never cared too much about the Quartz color, but I wanted everything else that came with the 40th. You even have NAV which was a reason I'm not getting the 40th in US because we don't get to have it. Darn it....i love how sexy it looks! Nice ride

Insurance Phi 04-01-2010 04:26 PM

love the red interior...

kjay82 04-01-2010 05:06 PM

gotta love them red calipers inside the smoked rims under all the black..

4r3s 04-09-2010 10:00 PM

I went to the dealer today to pick up some touch up paint and they had a 40th on the lot and I have to say wow. The quartz looks a lot nicer in person than the pics ive seen on the net so far. Im not crazy about the red leather but the exterior is bad ***, the smoked wheels with the red calipers looks awesome on the quartz.

After reading some of the threads it sounds like some Canadian models will get the Nav but not the USA models. I would have purchased a 40th but I wanted the Nav System. Almost bought the Nismo at invoice but decided on the Platinum Graphite witht he Sport Package and the Nav. I could always add the nismo wheels and body kit later if I wanted the looks. Don't care about the suspension, it sounds like the sport package does a great job as is.

Can a Canadian car be imported into the U.S. w/o a ton of paperwork and fees?

SoMBrA 08-30-2010 10:26 AM

Hello guys, im new to the forum!

I was wondering if there's any counter of how many 40th Anniversary Edition are left or something... i live in Spain but i would like to know how many for Europe are still available (on the website they are still there but don't know how many left :P)

Loving the Quartz + Red interior :)

Just because you want the Nav on your 40th? If that's the case, it ain't worth it. You'll be paying a lot with paperwork, shipping, and tax fees. Why don't you just get Platinum Graphite color with Navigation Package instead? Is it because you like the 40th color? Unless you REALLY need the Navi, 40th without it is still good.

The red interior leather looked pretty damn good, as did the special color rims. Also, I hate aftermarket NAVs. Function great, but look horrible.

<--- new 40th owner

:tiphat: Just bought mine, in love to say the least! the paint is absolutely gorgeous

still have my teenage modified 99 acura cl for 11 years and have been part of acurazine for that time as well

my car had 1 mile on it before i test drove it and now has 64 the rims ,handling and legacy had me sold, talk about head turner! got all kinds of numbers from hot chicks at the stop light already!

BTW-really was going to get a nismo but the wing in my personal preference is ugly, glad to be here!

Hey guys- I live in the northeast and would like to drive my new 40th edition once in a while on those clear but cold winter days ahead.

I plan on removing current wheels/tires and replacing with all season radials and new rims. Can anyone suggest where I can get tires and reasonably priced rims for the winter for the 40th edition?

you might want to check out the wheels/tires section of the forum, there is nothing specific about the 40th, just keep in mind you have the sport package with sport brakes to clear.

Hey man I would reconsider driving the Z in the winter.....unless you put on the 3M clear protection.....all the salt will scratch the paint on the car. Another thing is all the sand and salt that gets under the car aka rust city.....I would store it and get yourself a beater car for the winter months......

DarkPath 09-12-2011 08:23 AM

Now in production for 40th Anniversary Build badges... PM me for details... Thanks

JamesSmith 09-28-2011 02:28 AM

So there is some new edition.....can you post the pics of thet?

DarkPath 10-03-2011 07:09 AM

Rims are a matter of taste so can't help you there... But for tires, look at the Continental extreme contact DWS. Not all the great for hard cornering, and no where near the performance of summer tires, but they'll do well in any kind of winter weather you might get trapped in. AND they look good on.

If you are asking about the build badges.. We slightly altered the interior badges - removing the logos and just including the build # and date... Since most were installing the badge directly under the OEM badge on the rear of the console. It made the logos redundant. See below.. BTW our engraver just returned from 2 weeks away (military training) so we be ramping back up this week - filling / shipping a few backorders.. And shipping new ones at the speed of light... Don't forget, for a limited time, we are including one Ultra Custom build badge for your drivers side door sill (as thanks for your business) absolutely free. get yours today! Darkpath
