Are you the coolest person just because you are driving a Z?

I think my car really gets attention from most people on the road , what about your guys ? Any interesting stories wanna share here ? what is the most complement that you have ever gotten for your Z ? The worst complement I have ever gotten was : nice porsche back there !!!:(

gbrettin 03-10-2015 02:57 PM

I don't care what others think.

jmayz 03-10-2015 02:58 PM

I've only had mine a short time but people being keep comparing it to a Porche! I think that's a compliment?

I had one guy stop at a stop sign about 30' too far back because he was watching my car drive by and even pointed at me as I rolled by. :)

jaytirbhaw 03-10-2015 03:06 PM

i've had random folks snapping pictures, which is always nice. Seeing a z isn't like spotting an exotic, but i think most people view the z as sort of a "danggg that's what i really want to be driving this summer" car.

especially a nismo : D

u mean like greasy sweaty ugly doods coming up to me telling me they luv my car? :ugh:

i suddenly become ESL

JARblue 03-10-2015 03:39 PM

I've heard of some random members of the general public trying to mate their cars with fellow forum member's Z's. But those stories usually end up in tragedy or with at least a few thousand dollars spent at the body shop :ugh:

JC-Nismo 03-10-2015 03:55 PM

It's a bit of an attention grabber, kinda shocked actually cause in Atlanta you see Exotics on a daily basis and to have folks stare at a Z like that is a bit of a wonder.

Merv 03-10-2015 04:28 PM

My alter ego sais I'm the coolest mofo on the block... While at my cabin by the river! :ugh2:

Magic Bus 03-10-2015 04:59 PM

Whadda ya mean? I'm the coolest person with or without the Z! :icon17:

Many good stories but I'll share one. Parked in a Waikiki lot, then walked to the parking lot pay machine just two stalls away to get the receipt to put on my dash. 2, 20 something year old, US female tourists walked up to my car, stood by it and one told the other, "OMG I love this car", her friend was taking out her cell phone out to take a picture of her with my car. They didn't know I was the owner standing almost right next to them, so I replied "thank you".

This kind of startled them and the girl who made original comment then said "I can't believe I just said that so loud". I smiled and said "thank you" again and told her to feel free & take a picture with the car.

ayrton88 03-10-2015 05:10 PM

To be honest, if I knew it would get this much attention I would have bought something else. Attention in the big city is not a good thing.

Tadpole 03-10-2015 05:13 PM

Hell yea Im the coolest dude beeoiittches!

lj909 03-10-2015 05:16 PM

The kids and teens always look and tell me something when i wash it. I think people really like the red calipers. And there's a ton of dodge guys in my area that always stare. And i get and give props to all the subi guys.

It's all good!

6spd 03-10-2015 05:16 PM

I drive with my nose so far in the air I can't see the lesser peasants around me

Duc_Z09 03-10-2015 07:34 PM

I've never been cool and I'm not about to start now. My NISMO gets lots of attention but if that makes me cool I may have to trade for a BR-Z or something.:ugh2:

Zoren 370 03-10-2015 07:57 PM

The Z has a niche market compared to all american muscle cars. Which in a way is good the lesser they see your Z around the less they get bored with it.

In my town alone only about 4 people that I have seen drive around with a 370z
With a population of about 13,000. And 3 of them are bone stock.
Guess who is the other one that is modified looking Z?
Ain't that cool?

Our Nissan dealership dont even have one on their lot!

vtec to vvel 03-10-2015 07:58 PM

Before I upgraded to the 370Z, I had an 07 350Z and got alot of attention. Now with the 370Z, I feel like I get less attention, although the few that ask about my car are shocked when I tell them it's an 09.

The worst compliment I've gotten: "You're car is cute!" dumb sorority b*tch....

zefaulter 03-10-2015 08:35 PM

One cold winter evening, I had this family drive right behind me in the next lane going on the highway. They took a good few photos with their windows down lol
That or they were calling the cops because my car is too cool to go the speed limit?!

DirtyDan 03-10-2015 10:17 PM

Whenever I park my Z in my shop and all the salesman were looking at my car trying to figure it out who own the car that nobody don't know I own it and they like my car.:happydance:

axmea? 03-10-2015 10:53 PM

Once this $hit is paid off, then I'd be really cool.

louiey370z 03-11-2015 01:09 AM

Yeah, a lot of people like my Z even though its all stock lol, but they try saying some stupid **** like "bro I can get a Z too" when they drive a 1998 civic lol

Jordo! 03-11-2015 02:29 AM

This reminds me of a time some random guy asked me "how is the Z life?"

He was seriously asking me this. I just looked at him.

It's a car. Just a car.

Its a lifestyle bro, like buying Apple crap. Jk

When I drove my Beamer, no one admired it because there's too many of them! Once I bought my Z, get complimented at gas stations and on the road haha Also a lot of stares wherever I go. (DRL also helps the attention cause of the brightness haha) :)

LOL how awkward right? i've honestly seen more maserati's than 370's this winter on the road.

on a mini day-trip when i was stopping for breakfast this guy with his 3 year old in a g37 was talking to me about how his dad got the 370 and gave him the g37. apparently he needed 4 seats... i told him about the child anchor in the hatch and that his wife could probably fit in the trunk. problem solved. :tiphat:

Datsun240Z71 03-11-2015 06:58 AM

Leaving the grocery store two days ago, a mom was walking with what I guess were her two daughters, about 7 to 9 years old. One of the girls hollered, "Nice car".

Does that make me cool?

As a point of information, my 240Z gets way more attention than the 370.

I would hope it does!

HEK 03-11-2015 08:51 AM

I don't think a car can make a person cool, becuase an a...hole will allways be an a...hole no matter what he drives. I stopped over my daughters place yesterday and her neighbor runs out kind of mean looking and asks me why the hell I drive "that" car in the Winter...I looked at him with a smile and said it's just a Z....he says is that a Porsche new model?... I said yeah and walked away shaking my head but smiling :driving:

ayrton88 03-11-2015 09:35 AM

Reality really sunk in when this hillbilly kid with half his teeth missing told me the Z was his dream car. At least his dream is somewhat attainable. Mine is an Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale...don't think that's going to happen.

KMO-II 03-11-2015 09:45 AM

I get compliments and stares at my NISMO daily. Its rare to see The 2014 Pearl White model with the Charcoal accents, also people tend to get mesmerized by my rims with Red lips and NISMO decals and wet look tires.

Camo500EFI 03-11-2015 10:24 AM

I had a guy in a Camaro come flying up along side me last Friday night to pay me a compliment. It's been a long time sine I drove an attention getter. LOL. A buddy of mine with an Aston Martin DBS 8 even paid me a compliment. I'm liking the attention for sure.

Haboob 03-11-2015 10:30 AM

Of course I'm the coolest fucker on the road! Duh, I drive a Z.

jmayz 03-11-2015 10:49 AM

They are hot lookin cars! My coworkers haven't even seen it yet because it's back at the dealer for a few days, but one of my co-workers took his wife to the dealer to check it out. Of course, it's locked up in the shop area so their gonna have to wait!

DavidZ370 03-11-2015 12:05 PM

Jesus once asked me for a ride, I kindly denied.

I often get the "It's so cute!" working in a school district full of female teachers. Or the other 50% is "That's a nice car! What is it?"

Good to know I have a car no one has really ever seen!

BigT 03-11-2015 01:01 PM

I was gawking over a 996 GT3 that drove passed me when my wife asked me why i'm staring at a car that is not as good looking as my Z. Best compliment I ever got.
