Yes I am the coolest person, and only because I'm driving a z.
I'm even cooler when i nail it driving through the rich neighborhood to the golf course for work at 6 am ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I get tons of compliments but it's always fun to drive into the Nissan stealership and have the salesmen, managers and techs drool over my car even though there's a brand new GTR on the floor room. That happened today as I stopped by the stealership to get a battery for the fob. One of the managers could not get over the car an the Fugimura hood...he just said awesome car and the best looking hood I have ever seen on Z!!! Cool....maybe, but I don't really care cause I got lots of cool friends.

Well, I dunno... in theory its like any other material thing: At best its a very, very tiny window of insight into the tastes and resources of the possessor.
Cool people like cool things, moneyed people have nicer, more expensive things, etc (although with cars in particular, A + B usually = person is a fucking nob). EDIT -- On second thought, I should also add: People who think they are cool (or not cool) because of the things they own, regardless of relative wealth, are also fucking nobs. |

ive seen so many lambos and ferraris in atlanta that i honestly don't even look at them anymore. now if i see a classic or unique car, i'll break my neck looking at it. |
My black car had guys breaking necks when I got on the gas. I saw one guy, in his driver seat completely stick his head out the window and look behind him screaming "That sounds amazing!" It was also great at scaring kids at the grocery store when turning on the car just as they pass. My Wife gave me an ugly look for that one. My new car, I get more opposite sex attention, mostly because they think it looks pretty and it has a pretty color. When I take it to a dealership, most guys working there never seen the Nismo in that color and always ask if it was painted lol.
If I'm having a sh!t day, I just take my car out, she always makes me smile. Boost makes me smile harder. I want to smile harder. |
I usually get a lot of older guys that'll make their way over at car washes to check mine out and tell me stories about their 240s and 300s, coworkers ask if I get more *** than a toilet seat but I have a girlfriend(unfortunately?) lol, but I have a restored 1969 chevelle that takes the cake with attention people literally yell out nice car from the sidewalks and such, wish I got that kind of attention in the Z lol

Hilariously (disturbingly?), my old 2000 Celica GT-S was a real piece of eye candy to random 9 - 13 yr olds... random children were always coming over to ogle and paw at it.
Aspiring pedo's take note: Sell the ice cream truck and buy a gently used late model Celica... :ugh:  :eekdance: Less disturbingly: I have noticed that my red 370Z was a bigger crowd pleaser than the black one. I guess sports cars really should just come in red... oh well. |
No i dont think am cool, but ever since i got the Z, girls keep walking towards me and sometimes they walk wright in front of my car while am driving on the street, i got it on video if u would like to see it.
I personally think its like a all girls suicide car at this point. |
Maybe I just don't drive my Z enough, but I haven't noticed any more comments than my other cars. But then again, I don't drive boring cars. In fact, I think more people have complimented my 240SX convertible than my Z or SRT GC.

I've also had folks thinking it was a Porsche. I've gotten compliments...but also the neighbors talking about how "selfish I was to buy a two seater" since I have 3 kids...despite the fact that I also have an 8 seat SUV and an Acura TL, which is my wife's daily driver........jealous neighbors:)

I was already the coolest dude in the world before the 370Z existed - I just bought the car to make sure everyone else knew.

True, When ever I go to dealership, they act like they never seen z before. I drive what I love and I love what I drive. 370 the beast.
