Well my beaters insurance is $32 a month just for liability. You have to add that into account. Wheels and tires get paid off, a beater never stops.

I Just hate that this year has been bad for the north east. I have driven my Z a total of 100 ish miles since mid December. My beater is my wife's old '01 Altima and that thing is a champ in the snow and costs $25 to fill up.

+1. And my winter beater will crawl over rocks and wade through mud holes. Try that in a Z with winter tires.

Every time I wash my Z, I would swear those were exactly the driving conditions it was subjected to :P Price you pay for driving a white swirl-resistant color, I guess?

I think that was his point... why pay for rims and tires when you can get a car/truck/SUV that actually works in snow?

Why would I want to drive $1000 car for almost a 3rd of the year? I'd rather just throw some snow tires on the Z and continue enjoying the car year 'round.

my beater was $19K cash otd... and put about 2k or so in mods.
