Default Where are the Wheel Speed sensors located / Traction Control QQ?

Short Story
I was driving to work this morning and slowed to 2nd gear for some traffic, which then cleared...

I gunned it in 2nd and had to apply a bit of opposite lock to keep it in line.
Wheels spun for 1-2 seconds before i actually had released the throttle slowly.

This happened with the Traction Control system ON.

In other words... What the crap?

Can you recreate the experience or was it a one time thing?

The traction control system monitors wheel speed via the ABS sensors, hall-effect sensors mounted on the hub looking at a chopper ring in behind the brakes on the front and mounted in the diff housing looking at the chopper ring on the differential end of the drive shaft at the rear.

I have no explanation for your experience, UNLESS the TCS strategy permits some speed differences between front and rear axle at low speeds as a threshold of some kind. Only the engineers who calibrated the system would know.

With no error lights in the dash I am guessing whatever happened was within intervention parameters, but who would know ??

np, and hope things turn out for ya.

and for the electronics, some times VDC dont work as smoothly when the computer is fed data that is outside its programmed range. it takes it in as an error. this is another reason why i never use vdc in my G or Z unless im on an icy bridge or area prone to black ice and going slow. it works against me more than helps me.
