The point of replacing this is to be able to apply paint protection film which is great when it's done on unblemished surface, but highlights defects when not.
Thanks for making it personal for no god damn reason.

There's gotta be a reason somehow almost no one else's shop has this problem, and I'm sure others have put clear bra on their paint after without issues too. MOST result in other problems... Ehhhh, I think not.

Also, you're in DFW, why not you know... Go to Courtesy Nissan and see if they'll order one for you to THEIR dealership and you can QC it yourself at the dealer.

So the point of this post was to see if anyone else has had similar experience and to forewarn others - not to debate the merits of using damaged goods.

Facts are, my shop has not had this problem with other manufacturers. Also, after 2nd rejection, they asked the unnamed local dealer to unwrap and inspect the next ones before sending over, and they confirmed the problem. They finally got an unblemished to the shop one on the 5th try. Consequently, they did not require my involvement to resolve. Personally, I give points to my shop for this rather "fixing and throwing on".

End of discussion from my side.

Thank god for that

You should try to total out the car every time you need work done to it, after being in QC/QA for 40+ years, nothing but from the factory should be good enough for you.
