Used Nismo Buyers - What Did You Actually Pay?

I'm starting to look at used Nismo's, just wondering what I can expect dealers to come off their advertised price. Can some of you guys tell me what your car was listed for and what you actually paid? Year & mileage would be of interest, too.

Thanks.

I bought my first 2009 NISMO in 2012 with about 4K miles on it for 25K. Near mint condition.

I bought my 2014 NISMO used with 1,377K miles for 34K. He still had the dealership invoice which it was listed MSRP for 44,400K.

I will say that from what I've seen, Forum Members do a good job taking care of their cars and from their post, you can tell if they've had any issues....but I'm sure you already know that.

Hope this helps, good luck.

Bought my used '11 Nismo on 12/22/11. Had almost 8,000 miles on it. Listed for $39,000. Got for $35,000. The first owner bought it in 4/11. Drove until Thanksgiving. Found out that he didn't like driving it in the snow. Trade it in for a 4x4.

370zHawaii 11-07-2014 10:28 PM

Listed for 24K, paid 24k, miles 56k 2009 great condition everything factory, both sets of key fobs, owners manual, records etc etc.

SwissCheese 11-07-2014 11:38 PM

I bought my 2012 this past spring from Carmax, so no negotiating. Had it transferred from Arizona. It had just under 7k miles at the time. Bought it for their list price of $32,998.

1slodriver 11-08-2014 12:13 AM

Good post, I'm thinking about making an upgrade from my 12 sport to a 11 or 12 nismo if the dealer gives me a good deal

YzGyz 11-08-2014 09:16 AM

I don't remember what he listed my 2010 with 16 xxx miles for. I bought her about a year and a half ago is great condition. I had all carpets, 2 fobs, and glow kick plate for 345000 out the door. That's tax, tags, title, inspection.

hey32g 11-08-2014 11:17 AM

Some great info guys.

Rockrover 11-09-2014 11:48 PM

2011, 20K miles, bought in July from a forum member: $26.5K. Greedy Ti exhaust, Fortune 500 CO w/Swift, oil cooler, 15mm spacers, Kenwood touch screen dvd/cd, Super sport tires 80%, tint, + some little extras...Essentially everything I would have done to the car anyway. Very happy.

NissanGuy23 11-10-2014 12:55 AM

2009 Nismo PGM with 22,600 miles on it, excellent condition

Paid $28,960 on Feb 04 2012

That's quite a deal! How were you able to get them to come down so low?

When I was looking earlier this spring, the local dealer had a 13 NISMO with about 12k miles listed for $38.5k. It had been on the lot for a couple months. They did not budge at all on the price. Well, they offered to take a whole $275 off, but that was it.

mine was on the lot for 2-3 months

well it helps to read up on how to deal with cars salesmen, my dad was one so I knew a little bit of there scams. also I went there the last day of the month and last day of a big sale. usually they need to meet some quota to get some kind of a bonus.
so I went there acting like I don't know what I wanted an test drove 3 other cars then last I drove the z, I wrote a check for what I wanted to pay regardless of if I would get it or not an told them thats what I would pay an acted like I didn't care even tho my insides were exploding with how much I wanted this car!!

they said no it's not possible so I gave them my phone # then put the check in my pocket an left.
by the time I got to my Car they came out an said they could do it.

also my wife works at the DMV so I had her pull the records from previous owners to get the guys info that traded it in...called and asked how much he traded it in for (29k) so I kinda cheated

happiest day of my life (unless my wife is reading this, then the happiest day was marriage lol)

kynseon 11-11-2014 02:17 PM

Hey hook me up. Im trying to buy a 2013 nismo it only has 655 miles and I managed to bring the price down from 37k OTD to 34kOTD but i think I can squeeze a little more. What ya think?

Kin C Poon 11-11-2014 04:05 PM

I've been searching for a white /red 2013 for a while now. But only last month there was a 2014 red nismo with 2k or 3k miles for 29,998 at a bmw dealership in NJ. If it was a 2013, I would have jump on it, but the 2 tone look just doesn't fit well with me. Nonetheless it was sold within 2 weeks.

Btw... There is a 2013 red nismo with 8k for 33,998 in Richmond VA. Unfortunately, I called them and they reply with my offer with "we are a no hassle dealership".

Awesome. You definitely had an edge by knowing how much it was traded in for.

The story that they fed me was that the previous owner traded it in to get a GTR, so they had to give him a good deal on his trade-in in order to make the deal work.

yeah I got lucky with my situation but I also waited about a year to get a good deal and wasn't in a rush. also u can usually never trust "the trade in story" even tho that would make sense.

just don't rush it and use
true car, kbb and whatever else u can when u find a car ur interested in and know how much it's worth when u go in there.
http://clearbook.truecar.com/used-ni...1_xa05/t_curve

DONT tell them how much money u have, don't tell them how much u want to spend, don't tell them anything nomatter how harmless it may seem.
just say "I'm here to get this car at the best possible price" and stick to it.
no offer they say should be good enough, they work for u.

and at the end if it all works out, MAKE SURE u say it's not a deal until u throw in free tint and whatever else small stuff u can think of (nismo Mats, locking wheel lugs or whatever)

I'm no pro but I like to see ppl get good deals because I have been taken advantage of at dealerships before so make sure ur happy when it's all over

34k OTD is pretty good In my opinion man.
every state and dealers OTD will be different depending on tax's and fees but I think that's good tho

ask for tint lol big deal at least for me in FL

That's a great resource, thanks for sharing. You did get a great deal on your car. Good job. I love to see people NOT get ripped off by dealerships.

Did the same exact thing one month ago. 2012 with 13k miles for 29k. Plus there was over $3000 in mods that I would have done anyway. :D

sillyoldtayo 11-21-2014 11:34 AM

I bought my 2010 with 12k miles on it for $35,000 about two years ago.

HBlakeH 11-22-2014 12:04 AM

2010 with 4800 miles, $32,000 two years ago.

gregg9 11-22-2014 11:31 AM

2013 with 8k miles, ended up being about 31k OTD

Hotrodz 11-22-2014 03:53 PM

I paid 34K OTD for mine 2.5 years ago at Car Max...it had 11K on it!

ROWDY370 11-26-2014 07:49 AM

Got my 09 Nismo with 24,700 miles on it from a forum member. Up-Rev, Z1 test pipes, ported intake manifold, and Doran intake piping to stock box with pan filter. Clean record, in near mint condition, only had a few rock chips from normal driving which would be expected. Asking was $28.5k, paid $27,850. Was looking for nearly a year and had 3 Zs sold out from under me before finding the nismo, and luckily so. Beyond happy with the car.

chii370 11-26-2014 08:35 AM

have a fully loaded mag red 2013 with 13k miles for sale for you. 34k

hey32g 12-18-2014 01:52 PM

Any more new buys recently?

kuyo 02-19-2015 08:31 AM

bought mine about a year ago..2012 6k miles on it. 30k out the door from North Carolina..got it shipped to here 2 texas for $600...insurance paid for shipping and everything since my 350z was totaled

Spstone 08-29-2015 09:27 PM

I bought my 2014 new Last month for 35K OTD trading in a 2008 Xterra with 200k miles on it. I watched the car sit on the lot for over a year, waited for the 2015 NISMO to show up next to it, then went in about 2 hours before closing on Sunday. I had gone in the week before to talk to them and they said there is no wiggle room on NISMO's, but when the 2015 showed up they wiggled a lot. Actually the 2015 drove off the same day within a couple minutes of me.

Apex000 09-07-2015 07:10 PM

I paid $25,000 for my 2010 Nismo in brilliant silver , with 7,100 miles , both key fobs & one previous owner . back in April 2015

That sounds like a great deal! Did you buy it from a dealer, or private seller?

from_a_G 09-12-2015 07:03 PM

They wanted 33k for it but I wrote a check 29k and left with both keys and the car.

Spstone 09-13-2015 01:04 AM

The dealer I bought mine from has a 2015 with 1,500 miles on it. They are asking 41K. Looks like the one that sold the same day I bought mine.

GunWorxx 09-13-2015 09:36 PM

I got a 2010 pretty much immaculate with 41k miles for 26k + 3k for a warranty.
