Bought my new 2014 Nismo in June of this year and paid $37,000. After Tax Title and Reg I think it was somewhere about $39,000 OTD. Had to go out of state for it.
Local dealer had the same exact car in MA but wouldn't budge from $41K. I showed them the offer I had from the out of state dealer for the $37K and said I would do $39K +TT and Reg if they wanted to do the sale because it would cost me about $2K in travel and my time, but they said no. The car was also sitting on their lot for over a year or so. Their argument is that they paid cash for the car so they would hold it until they got their $41K for it. I was surprised at that point they didn't want to move it even if to free up some cash at that point. I also got other offers right around $37K from multiple other dealers out of state on all colors. Long story short - In my opinion for a lot of the prior year nismo's its how much the dealer is willing to take in a loss on the new car. I would venture to say that most Nismo's are probably a loser for most dealers and hard to move unless you luck out with a very particular buyer. I also looked at a lot of used 2014 Nismo's and while I didn't pursue them I found the asking price to be around $33K for them with low miles. I did a carfax on one of the local ones and found it come back with electrical issues noted. At that point I said screw it. It was worth the extra money for me to know I was getting new car with no issues with full warranty. Plus, seems that the Nismo's hit a bit of a depreciation wall in the upper $20Ks. Thought process is that if I drive the car for about 4-5 years it will cost me roughly $3-4K in depreciation a year which isnt too bad considering a lease on "normal cars" ($300/month *12 = $3600/year) |
2012 23k miles $27k. previous owner says $8k in mods...so figure $4k in mods.

Just bought my 2015 Nismo base mt with 4k miles for $34,500.
|
Got my 2009 for 26k with 45k miles on it. Previous owner traded it in for 25k. Car had $18k in modifications. Both previous owners were in my local Nissan club. It was extremely well maintained and cared for.
Sold my 09 sport for 28k a couple weeks prior. |
I think got the deal of the year. I payed 34k for my red 15 Nismo Tech with auto transmission. I didn't want an auto, but for that price I could live with it. The car had 5k on the odometer. MSRP was over 47k. Huge upgrade from my base 15 that I traded.
The dealership appraised it sight unseen as a base tech, and when it arrived was a Nismo! lol needless to say I took advantage of it. |

That's insane! It will be interesting to see if the 2015 & 16's depreciate faster and surpass the 09-14s or if the 09-14s will just plummet off a cliff

In my research, it seems as if the base Nismo 6mt is more popular in the midwest and eastern U.S. What part of Florida are you in? |
In 2011 I paid 36,500 for a 2011 used with only 280 miles on it. I think I did ok.

2015 Nismo TECH, Pearl White.. 6spd. A shade over $21k miles, clean history on Carfax.
Bought from used car dealer for $38k. This is in Bay Area of CA. |
Just bought last week. 2015 Nismo tech . Nissan Dealer 2 miles from my house was asking 38,900.00 . I told them I could travel an hour and get a 2016 Nismo Tech with 3000 less miles for 2k more in the color I actually wanted. I had got a quote from the other dealer along with a copy of a buyers order for my bank. The dealer around the corner called me at 850pm and asked what it would take to make the sale and I told them 36600.00 out the door. They hung up and called back to accept a deposit. Took a week for me to pick up the car due to a broken femur. I have driven the car a grand total of 2.5 miles since I took the long way home 7 days ago.

But, it's pretty hard to find a 09 with only 10k miles. With the limited updates through the years, and the Z being a relatively simple machine (compare to the Germans, and that warranty is not as big of a deal), you may take the perspective of that you received a big discount on a next to brand new car. Congrats and enjoy :driving: |
