They also estimate a $44K sales price. I'm guessing that's the manual transmission without a Tech Package. Guess we're just waiting until Nissan stops stalling and pulls the trigger...

With a 3.90 final drive, I would hope so.

impressively good Bose stereo
They're kidding me right? Unless they changed the Bose for this new model, it sucks. My 2012 Focus' audio upgrade pacakge sounded so much better than the Bose in My Z.

Only speed upgrade is a different gear ratio, lol! I dont believe that the price is going to jump that much. Maybe for the first six months but that is it. Not enough thrills and spills to be asking $45k plus. If the Nismo had 390-400hp then they could sell these things for 48K all day long. Maybe it is due to the small platform. Who knows

Either way with all of the comfort features going into this new model I am sure that they are going to sell alot more Nismos. They do not advertise the Z very much to begin with. So when a new customer walks in and believes that he can have a Z with more performance (or so called per the salesman) these things are going to sell.

Long live the original Nismo Z. I bet there sells jump up for those tuner gear heads, looking to mod a car for the track and such.

I wanna wait and see what the final price is, before theorizing how the 2015 sales will fare. In the US there's an ongoing horsepower war going on, with efforts to make 600+ more "affordable" than ever. The insane Dodge Hellcat is going for $60000 IIRC, which seems to be a "throwing down the gauntlet" kind of marketing scheme against the Stingray.

Sure... the NISMO will certainly be cheaper than $60K... but how much? Some people in the US might just save and/or loan for the extra money to upgrade for an American muscle on steroids.

I don't think I saw it mentioned here, but if it was, my bad.

The car is now listed on Nissan's FUTURE & CONCEPT VEHICLES section.

Nothing we haven't seen or already knew is on it though...

I don't care how much HP they throw at a Challenger, it will never be a C7. Hell, if I had Corvette money, I wouldn't cross shop a Challenger. Apples and oranges.

From what I have heard the new challenger is having a hard time hooking the tires and is so heavy it has a hard time pulling up top too. I have not looked into it myself, but this is what is going around the drag strip. I actually like the looks of the car. Looks closer to the original resto's they are doing lately

I'd like to see the Hell Cat do anything impressive that doesn't involve moving in a straight line.

I agree with what was said before. Comparing a Hell Cat to a C7 is apples to oranged. I would say the same about a Nismo to a Hell Cat.

What does a Hellcat have to do with a Nismo? :icon14:

Awesome find KrisL. Thanks for posting it.

Ya know, the more I stare at the front of the new NISMO, the more I'm bothered by it. I'm thinking Nissan made the red stripe too thick. Maybe if it was thinner... or had a black line running down the middle. Probably just me. It's an easy enough modification, either way.

I'm also unnerved how NISMO is "cut and pasting" this body kit design on everything Nissan.

Maybe I'm just getting cold feet and second thoughts about buying this. Still another weeks to decide I suppose. Seems like Nissan is waiting until the last day of the month. -_-

I feel that way too. I do like the way it looks, but the idea that the same theme is being repeated across all nismo cars bother me a little.

Meh, a good number of companies put similar front ends on all of their cars. It's just corporate design language.
