I checked out the link for the new Nismo and just realized in the interior pics that all the brushed aluminum accents are now flat black.
Check it out for yourself.

Not cool if you ask me. I like all my brushed aluminum accents and the flat black looks cheap and plain.

Ya know... I noticed that 370Z sales for 2014 have been noticably better than 2013. I wonder if Nissan is suddenly thinking of delaying the 2015 line, so they can give dealers more time to clear their lots of the 2014's.

In any case, they've got like 32 hours or so for them to make the July promise, so it looks like your Magic 8 Ball is gonna be right!

Makes no sense for them to be holding out on the Zs unless there are a lot of '14s left. If their sales are up why would you choke up sales by limiting supply?

My guess is they delay is due to the changes to the '15 Nismo and there being tons of '14 Nismos still unsold. Why would anyone buy a '14 when the '15 is more desirable?

I'm not proposing that anyone is intentionally limiting suppy, but I'm not sure if Nissan is still building new 2014's right now. Haven't tried to factory order a custom 2014, but I'd hazzard a guess that the assembly line should be pumping out the new model right now. Unless of course, Nissan really is going to delay the 2015 sale until late this year/early next year. In any case, if searching car dealers on the Internets is any indicator, there certainly isn't a shortage of new 2014 (or even 2013) 370Z out there.

Verdict is still out on that question. Not everyone likes the new body kit and/or prefers the old look. Also the new body kit is being "photoshopped" on every model of Nissan, so that's turning off people who aren't supportive of Nissan making all their NISMO look the same.

We'll see soon enough.

IMHO the 2015 NISMO's biggest sales point is having an automatic option. That opens the flood gates to a larger demographic that wouldn't (or couldn't) touch a stick. I personally think the 370Z market is oversatured and Nissan needs to get the next generation Z out, but who knows... maybe this is the gimmick Nissan needs to squeeze better numbers.

I honestly hope Nissan makes me regret not waiting for the '15, but I doubt they will.

Any official word when the new one is coming? Still end of July?

There's only one day left in July, so if the dealership tell me they still don't have an Order Guide tomorrow afternoon, then the answer will be a big no. :shakes head:

Here is a sneak peek of how the front bumper looks on my 40th Z. Big thanks to CoolToy for getting this done!

I will get different sides and thinking about older rear nismo bumper.

Reached out to a local dealer yesterday. Explained that I'm looking to buy a 2015 Nismo 370Z and am trying to figure out when they expect them to show up and when they will be available to order/pre-order. The guy tells me that he's going to see if he can find some specifics for me and will shoot me an email with his findings later.

I get the email and it's basically the guy asking me when I'm looking to buy and telling me that they've got a lot of nice 2014's on their lot...

This is why I hate people.

I did my weekly dealership check this morning, and none of them have an Order Guide for the 2015 model. The original news release from Nissan claimed the car would be on lots already, but you can't even order them for September (since it can take 4 to 6 weeks after using the Order Guide).

I've tried asking Nissan's PR people (via email and their site form submission) what's going on, but I've gotten no response so far. Can someone see if they'll answer their Twitter or Facebook page about when the 2015 will be out? I don't have an account with those sites.

It's pretty clear there's a delay. Now it's just the questions of why and how long. The dealers aren't being told anything more than we are.
