The clutch is a friction device at the end of the day and if you "ride it" at high RPMS, it will start to smell/burn. This is true with any clutch. You probably wore away a tiny bit of material, i don't think there was anything wrong with it. I don't know whether it was driver error or if your clutch slipped due to an issue with the clutch, but either way the burning smell is something you want to avoid but its no biggie if it happens once.
When i was learning to drive stick in my Tiburon, uphill, i "rode" the clutch as i went up this hill and you could smell it Last edited by NissanGuy23; 08-01-2013 at 11:22 AM. |
