I don't think it would be an issue if you had a replica plate like that mounted, as long as it looked just like the real plate and had the same number. Good idea. Where can one get one made like that?

In a lot of states the plates are technically their property, and you'd be making a forgery. I'd do some serious reading of your state's vehicle laws before I did something like that.

I believe around 8" to clear. I did a quick measure but the plate is in the way at the moment so I couldn't get an exact measurement. I had mine custom made at moweraxle.com. I had Larry take the standard NISMO rode and shorten it by 1 3/8 so it is tucked up under the bumper just inside the grill area. Hopefully this helps.

Just installed mine as well...had Larry shorten the shaft 1.5 inches. Very easy & quick install...definitely recommend.

I got mine today. Absolutely the best quality. Fits great. I highly recommend this for anyone needing a front plate mount.

Thanks Larry@moweraxle.com

How secure is the bracket? I'm assuming it holds up to highway speeds, but I was just curious if anyone has ever had a problem with it coming off.

Yes, its fine at all speeds. The mount is very secure. Just remove when washing. Including FB links, hope they work

Larry (moweraxle.com) and I are currently working on the mount for the 2015 Nismo 370Z. We originally tried the one for the 2013 but it was too long. Larry has been helpful from the pre purchase to the post purchase. Once the item is complete I will be uploading some pictures.

You can have Larry at moweraxle.com make you a custom plate holder like mine. I had him make the shaft longer so the plate is tucked under the nose of the car. He can make the shaft any length you want. Give him your measuments and he will make it for you.
