Nismo Tow Hook Question

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anybody happen to know the Pitch/Thread for the Tow Hook for the 370z? The reason I'm asking is because I need to make an extension rod for the Nismo 370z but I don't have the tow hook yet.

I know the part that bolts onto the Crash bar is M24x3, but how about the opposing part? This should be a universal standard size right? Is it M18xsomething? Please let me know if you happen to know the answer.

How about the length of thread part?

And one last question, how long should the rod be for a Nismo bumper?

I want to send this part out today so I can get it back before track, please let me know if you happen to know the answer. Thanks again!

Wow, just bought a used one off the forum classifieds, and didn't even think about the possibility of needing an extension for a Nismo front end. Sure that's necessary? Isn't the stock tow hook in our trunks the same for all models?

For anybody doing this. Make the shaft 2 1/4" longer. Here's a thread I did for mine. :D

You would want to extend it future mainly because when you actually come to a need for using the tow hook the rope may scrape the top of your center grille opening. The Nismo Nose is relatively longer.

I would think a machinist would be the answer.

Good luck.
