Ok guys no need to worry. We don't even know exactly what the actual cause is yet. Or if the OP installed this himself. Oil coolers are very simple to install IMO so we'll have to wait. So even if it's a oil cooler issue Ill have to know beyond a doubt that it was installed correctly. Plus that there was enough slack in the lines itself.

This is also why I've install a oil pressure gauge also.

What size cooler did you guys get? And also did the nismo damper get in the way? Im debating whether to get 25row or 34row.

Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT use Aeroquip socketless lines. Freaking crap, one of my oil lines just popped out while I was on the freeway. I was not even pushing the car, just cruising home. Pisses me off because I did the install myself and I know darn well that the lines are installed correctly. The lines had well enough slack. Luckily, I was able to get a flatbed tow truck and was not too far from home. I shut off the car immediately as soon as I saw my oil light come on. So angry right now , had oil sprayed all over the passenger side of the car, freaking under cover body tray full of oil, everything was just a mess. Crazy though how everyone that was passing by was staring at the Z on the flatbed, lol.

Flipped the damper. Pics of my install here. GREAT quality kit and excellent customer service from Z1. No issues here.

Nismo + Z1 Motorsports Oil Cooler = Success!

^word. Plus I want to know my car inside and out. I want a shop asking me what I have going on. Not the other way around.

I want people who are holding off on Z1, or any other cooler, to remember that there are more than a couple of us tracking regularly without issue.

The appeal of the Z1 kit for me was that it has all of the fittings and brackets that you need. Made specifically to fit our Zs with good instructions. You don't have to be a mechanic to install it. Took me about three hours (working slow).

+1, no problems here and already one track day under the belt too.

Curious as to what the cause of that problem is tho.

The car was towed to Performance Race Solutions where the cooler was installed. They have been in contact directly with Z1 and the issue appears to be a fitting on one of the oil lines. I am trying to stay out of the finger pointing but I am comfortable that the manufacturer and the installer plan to resolve the issue to my satisfaction. The part in question is being shipped back and a replacement is on the way. Whether it was defective or installed incorrectly may be difficult to know for sure and I am not attempting to bring any negative press to anyone. So far this issue has only cost me towing charges and I hope the remainder is worked out between the two parties.

Good to hear. Z1 is top notch in my opinion.
