seriously. im not as low as you are, but ive noticed im low enought hat ive dented my bumper from the decreased suspension travel. ive hit so many dips and bumps hard enough that the wheel is physically denting the lip on the bumper. VICTORxSE has done the same, his bumper is actually cracking because of it!

chops 08-21-2011 02:49 AM

anyway, helped a friend lower his STI today. took 2 hours front and rear to swap out the springs. i love air tools! damn my car is much lower than his

yup. its pretty common if you're slammed. VICTORxSE has a PG nismo and his is worse off than mine. his paint has started to crack where the wheel hits the bumper

birdmanx1 08-24-2011 05:01 PM

Ouch! I'm thinking about going with 20" with my setup. This is making me pause.

Pls don't. :tiphat:

Kingbaby 08-24-2011 05:26 PM

Don't let that stop you guys from a beautiful stance...

Search out a reputable shop for fender rolling and get it done right the first time. I'm way lower than you guys and rolling the fenders is a must!

Also I'll take stock nismo rims from one of you guys...shipped to 96789 under 1k and I'll buy...there are way better in terms of weight than the 07/08 nismo rims.

lol. Well, I just think our Z's look like poo with anything over 19" wheels. It's just not my personal taste is all. I'm much more into function over form (as you can see in my sig) so 20's would simply be adding weight to the car and decreasing it's performance simply for the purpose of acheiving a certain "look". End of the day tho, you gotta go with whateve makes YOU happy broseph. :driving:

Ah!!! great points man. I'm still in the info gathering stage before making a decision. I did come around numerous facts corroborating your arguments though I also read that there were some lighter performance rims. No worries broski, I'll do my due diligence before making a pick

Looking forward to seeing what you decide to pick for wheels. You've got one sweet a$$ ride there Roman Brolanski.

It works for the brave :icon17:...it's not direct replacement for the 350z. The stock 370Z nismo rims are way lighter than the 350Z nismo rims. being a NISMO fanboy I want to get my Z back to the heart of what NISMO is!

Rotational mass (wieght) is a big factor in performance. here is a link of Nismo over in the motherland...pay close attention to the setups for each!

Not a 370Z but not to derail the thread any further post more of the nismo 370Z!

Kingbaby...awesome pic man!

Oh, and that link was like awesome nissan performance overload. If you decide to adapt the 370 nismo wheels to your 350 nismo, I want to see pics cause it'll look great.

Ron 08-24-2011 06:55 PM

I found this, not a nismo but..

I have to fight the repeated urges every so often to go out and buy a nice white or silver nismo 350z to add to the stable. I'd love to have a nismo ed. of each Z generation (and a nice 300zx tt as well...and a pristine rb swapped 240z...and...)

Kingbaby 08-24-2011 09:55 PM
