I feel your pain, I fear that this may be my reaction one day, maybe PTSD might kick in or something I don't know, but I have zero tolerance for idiots and unsafe drivers on the road. I am too old for road rage and petty ignorance. Usually I stay humble and slow down, especially since ten times out of nine, the vehicle they are driving is well...not anything to boast about..They way I look at it, no matter how much money someone puts into a car to make it fast....at the end of the day it is still only worth as much as its title ex. 500 HP Civic is still a Honda Civic IMHO. After studying at the campus I come out to my car and apparently there was no where else in the entire campus parking lot to park so this person decided that parking next to me was their best option:ughdance:.......notice the Gunmetal Z to the far left of the pic had no problem finding a parking LOL http://i828.photobucket.com/albums/z...SizeRender.jpg All in all I enjoy every minute of the Nismo, and honestly the 17 PW I am in now gets ten times more attention than the 09 SR Nizzy did, plenty of compliments and people mistaking it for a Porsche. For me its never a dull moment when driving my car, and that is one of the many great features of driving a 370Z period. |

human being are herd animals, they will park where you are to join the herd, it is instinct it is also instinct for the herd to attack and destroy anyone who is not in the herd so if the parking lot is full and you park away from the herd someone will get mad and attack you, always park around others to avoid problems. the best way to get keyed or car kicked is to park away fiom the herd which makes the instinct to attack happen. if the parking lot is empty it is ok to park anywhere but when you come out others will park next to you becaus they are joining your herd |
^^That's some logic!

Just thought I would add this nice comment I received earlier:

I am from Chicago and I see just a few 370/350z here and there. Haven't seen a nismo but I'm sure there might be a couple around. I can definitely relate to some of the attention that some of you have been getting:
People speeding up and matching your speed to just look People flying by... some cut me off while doing so. It doesn't really make me mad. I just continue to drive normal and laugh in my head thinking of how stupid they look. I would say I get more positive reactions then negative. This car is pretty rare and has a great look so people usually just check out the car, talk to their passengers and point, even compliment me. The thing I dislike the most is people having the urge to park next to it when there are so many spaces available. So many times, I park at least 10 spots away from any car. Walk out of the store and have some deef parked next to me. I wouldn't mind if I didn't find a mark on my door from another door opening and smacking my love. Anyone find a mark on your car from other people being squabs and you just feel like busting out your Wolverine claws? |

I hate it when my car breaks Sheen and had to be towed home. Modes car = hard time trouble shooting. Then there is the fact that I don't have a crash bar. This means no place for a recovery hook, at East for now.

I get every car on the road wants to race me. I had an FRS revving at me at the light, then when it went green he actually floored it and (attempted) to drag race me. But... I get terrible gas mileage, last thing Im gonna waste it on is a glorified prius without batteries.

I'm not saying that you should have raced the idiot ... just that your excuse should never be gas mileage when you own cars like these  :p |

You guy's think you have it bad. Try driving a boosted 15' Nismo . Under normal conditions there are the gawkers , "Nice Porsche" and the rev till I pop guy's. But let my blow off valve sound or or if I dig into it and spool up............totally different situation. I get the WTF crowd then. I have to admit there have been a few occasions where I was forced to flex and it was gratifying to say the least.

Hey any of you guys have a squeaky shoulder belt arm? I sprayed some oil on it but that plastic is going to start squeaking again I can tell...any alternatives/solutions?

The turn signal clicker could be a little louder

Performance is king and gas mileage is :superghey: You get punched if you mention gas mileage where I come from... |
Took the Z out of storage on Sunday after a 6 month hiatus and forgot how much fun it is to drive...until Tuesday. Driving to work for the 1st time this year and as I look in the rear view mirror, I see this Millennial in his Malibu right on my bumper. I am doing 37 in a 35 zone and I am thinking WTF. I speed up a little and he does as well. Still on my bumper, I slow to 35 and he gets the hint that he is too close, so I get back to 37 and there he is again, riding my butt. I wanted to get out at the next light and rip him out of his "dad-car" and punch him.
He did this for the 10-minutes he was behind me...All I wanted to do was enjoy the Z and get to work without being harassed. Don't know what possesses people to do this???? OK, I am done ranting... |
LOL, day before yesterday I had guy in a mini cooper s do the same thing, he would ride my a$$ then pull up next to me an take off. I was annoying but I didn't bite!

Now that I am older and wiser, I try to ignore these morons and go about my day :driving: ... but there are days where it is really hard to do. |

A good radar detector, common sense, and a dang good laser jammer setup is all you need. Laser is becoming more common in my area. ALP will be in the future.

Good ones work. That's why a lot of states have made them illegal.

Get with Jayhova we tested his with my Prolaser 3 and his system works. If I remember correctly he could jam my laser down to 300ft.

things that annoy me driving my nismo....
taking her for a night cruise down the highway for a few exits.... and coming back to the garage with windshield & front bumper COVERED IN BUGS june in new england.... ugh |
On my way home the other day on slow freeway traffic, a black FX35 with a really lame sounding exhaust pulled up next to me and gas it. Stay next to me and gas it again. Did this many times. Was either trying to make me bite or let me hear him. I started cracking up at his attempt to do whatever was in his head and made sure he saw me. He got really mad, yelled something, and pulled away weaving in and out of lanes. Crazy.

Annoyed with rubbing on the rear wheel arch flares on bumps. Anyone trim off the inside tabs? I'm on swifts with 20mm spacers and -1.7 camber.
|
Hated the stiff ride, but changed to euro tuned oem 2013 rear shocks and man it is night and day.
|
Well.... Got rear ended last week by a woman in a minivan while waiting to proceed thru a yield. Prior to it she was riding my rear bumper dangerously close. I got to the yield and waited for two cars then moved 3-4 feet and stop quick for a speeder then... BAM!!! Right in the arse. Ordering a bumper cover, NS spoilers, energy absorber, crash beam, and brackets tomorrow. People need to relax and drive like a human being.
