Very excited to be apart of the forum, and of course really excited about a future Roadster, Touring Sport. Inventory is tight across the country, (used), and need to take care of the wife factor first, (she is long overdue and deserves the next car), but looking forward to the Z-journey.

Thanks gr8. Question. I see you have a 7AT. During my test drives at the local dealer, I tried so hard to like the Paddle Shifters, and the Sport Shift. I had origianlly talked myself into a 7AT, due to heavy congested traffic in the Seattle area. Most Z people I spoke with agreed. Go with the 7AT. But, the 6spd MT, (you have to admit) is so much fun. For me, this car is about two things. Aesthetics and fun.

After comparing both rides, I actually changed my mind. Since this will not be my primary car, I changed my pursuit to a Manual. Do you ever regret the 7AT? Your thoughts?

I'm really happy with the 7AT. I did test drive the 6spd before buying because for the past 25 years (ever since I've been driving), my cars have always been MT.

My car just prior to getting the Z was a 5-spd WRX. I would never have gotten the AT on that car. But I like the 7AT in the Z. It's a tough choice, I know

This is your first AT in 25 years of driving? Wow. Thanks for sharing.
