Default New to me 2016 Nismo

It took some searching and finally a 3 hour drive to northern Ohio to get the car I wanted but I am now the happy owner of a '16 Nismo. Mine is black. They had a red one that I was gonna buy but it sold before I got to the dealership. My only compliant with the black is how bad dust shows on it. There's a camp ground down the road from my house and the office is down an alley by my house. All kind of dust gets kicked up by people going to the camp ground office on the weekend. So I put a cover on it when I am not driving. Keeps me from washing it every day.

When I bought it my initial plan was to put a supercharger on it and bring it up to 500 HP. But driving it around the curvy hilly roads of SE OH, I don't know that I really need another 150 HP. That kind of power would be good for straight line driving but there's not much of that where I live.

Anyway here's a pic of daddy's new whip

Welcome to the forum and the owners club. That's a great looking ride.

For a few easy extra horses, you should consider a quality long tube intake system and a CBE. As far as the dust is concerned, I might recommend a good ceramic coating. I've heard great things about the latest turtle wax Hybrid line. I purchased the spray coating and the detailer, but haven't used them yet. My brother used them on his QX60 and it looks amazing.

Welcome to the gang!
I get you, I drove 6 hours each way to get my red one from San Antonio in November of '16.
WELL worth it.

Congrats! Great choice!

I’ve tried every single spray wax and ceramic spray coating possible and what I’ve found works best for my ‘16 Nismo is Turtle Wax Jet Black spray wax. Easy on, easy off and lasts a long time.

Great looking ride, my guy! Always a fan of the black in Nismo trim.

There are several options for forced induction, but I would advise taking a bit more time to enjoy the Z for what it is. I loved mine just as much before FI as I do now.

Welcome to the 370Z forums and congratulations that is one beautiful Nismo Z! It should be a real blast to drive with a supercharger going down the FI path.
