Hey OP Being in similar situation gas doesn't really hurts my wallet, had v6 2010 accord prior and i spend a little bit more. Ive spent around 68$ a week

Ive spent around 68$ a week on the accord and spend around 74$ for on my Z, And prior the accord I had 2004 S-class thats when I had to spend almost double that 136$. So if you can afford gas for average non hybrid car you'll be fine.
