Arrow MY 1st Z is bada$$

I've always wanted a Porsche but couldn't justify buying a Cayman with 30-50k miles so I bought the Z. I fell in love with the Z the moment I drove it! The rims on the sport package are abosultely beautiful and make the car look that much better. I did buy a used Black 2012 w/ navi and sport with 2k miles and saved myself 8k. I have a few questions for everyone. What have you done to protect the front of your car (ie. hood and front grille area) from chips and scratches? I'm trying to decide if I want to put a bra on it or some sort of clear shield. Any ideas? I'm almost afraid to drive it until I decide what to do. Another thing, anyone have a particular sytle that they like for blind spot mirrors that flow nicely and don't look gaudy? Lastly, what should be my 1st mod? I can't believe how heavy the car is but I had to have the navi and rims! Look forward to getting to know everyone and learning more about my Z.

Welcome and congrats!!! First mod was tint then coilovers, spacers. Love the wheels but the sunkin in look was killing me. The mod bug has hit me and it is contagious! Enjoy that ride!

Congrats and welcome! You have chosen wisely.

Clear bra is a good call. My first mods where tint, spacers and an FI exhaust.

I dunno. I'd rather pay the $600 a year to have the hood/front spoiler repainted than deal with clearbra but that's just me.

i'd have to guess that tint would probably win in a poll of what people do first when buying a car. But really, what is your budget? Do you intend to keep the stock wheels/tires? Or are you going aftermarket? What is your end goal? Track machine or street sleeper? Going to start with cosmetic or performance? Again, what is your budget? There are cheap mods and expensive mods.

Here's an under $30 easy mod that will get you interior dome light LED's Took me under 5min to install them and they look great IMO.

$600 to have bumper, hood done and be protected for years vs $600/year... You do the math. I spent close to $2000 for a whole lot of clear bra & tiny job; the bra saved me on numerous occasions. OP do yourself a favor and get at least the front bumper done or you'll regret in a few months... I GUARANTEE YOU.

If cost savings are your main concern, you are 100% right but clearbra is visible... I've seen cars with it and after 3-4 years it can have yellowing issues.
