Hello Everyone,

This is Bkuz from Tampa and I am a new member. I am a current 350Z owner and am in the market for a 370Z Nismo. My concern is all the articles about the 370Z having oil overheating problems. The Tampa area gets very hot in the summer and I am concerned about the Nismo overheating. Does anyone know if Nisan and Nismo are going to put a oil cooler on the 2010 370Z Nismo? I can't get a straight answer from Nissan. I would appreciate any help or advice. Thank you.

Welcome!

Do you plan on tracking the Nismo?

There's an article eluding to the option of an oil cooler in 2010.

Hi Matt,

There are a few tracks near Orlando I wouldn't mind taking the Nismo to. But like Georgia, Florida gets hotter then hell during the summer and I am worried about overheating. I wouldn't want the Nismo stuck in the Limp Home Mode during the hot weather. Thanks .

Street does not require an oil cooler (I live in Texas and did perfectly fine this past summer). If you plan on tracking then consider it a normal upgrade or addition to things you will need to invest in.

As Dreamer pointed out, we shouldn't have any problems even in Florida and Georgia (where I'm at) if people in Phoenix and Texas are having very minimal issues with oil temps.

Even if the 2010 comes with an oil cooler as an option, I've read the upgrades to coolers like Stillen are well worth the price, so I'd plan on saving your money and going aftermarket if you decide to go that route. I doubt the cooler will be standard on any 2010 model of the Z.
