I remember back in '66 my old man saying 'any idiot can drive a car hard but it takes a man with skill to drive it smooth.' (yeah, I'm old as h3ll.) Just think about making it smooth. Feather the clutch a little until you get used to it. By that I mean give it a little gas then slip the clutch out slowly until it catches. You want to get away from feathering it eventually because it'll wear it out if you do it forever but while you're learning for a few days it's okay.

I drove m/t from the time I was 15 until I was in my 50's. I tried the manual in the 2013 Nismo and decided to go with the a/t in the base model. I decided at my age I just don't want to deal with all that shifting. After a while my old knee starts to hurt. Why deal with that? I'm not a racer.

Practice by making the vehicle move just by releasing the clutch without stepping on the gas. Of course, you'll have to do this very slowly in your driveway or an empty street. You'll get used to the engagement point quicker than you think. Then practice this on an incline, this time just giving it enough gas so the Z won't stall, but still won't move.
lauj and Zbrah like this.
