Default Need some opinions

Had my Z for about 2.5 weeks now and love it more and more everyday. I was coming from an suv to a 2013 touring sport in manual so it took some adjusting but I love the care more and more everyday. So I just have a few questions for people that hopefully you can help me out with:

1. My local car wash places suck at getting the tires to shine, anyone have any recommendations for good tire cleaners? The sports package has amazing tires and the car looks so much nicer with the tires shining.

2. Any recommendations for cleaning clothes inside the car (such as armourall, etc.) yeah I know it is the lazy way of doing things, but when I don't have time to do a full clean with regular cleaner and rags it would be nice to have something that I can use quickly to keep the inside looking nice.

Thanks in advance, never really kept my previous car that clean as it was an suv and usually covered in dog fur and mud, not to knowledgeable about self cleaning products.

1. Not sure on that one because I just scrub and shine my own tires. Try DIY and post results. They sell brushes at AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts and O'Reiley's Auto Parts that go pretty easy on performance tires.

2. Armor All wipes for the dash and interior work fine for me. Windex on the front and rear windshield and just a microfiber cloth with water for the driver and passenger windows.

I use cheap, disposable toothbrushes to get the dirt/pollen out of the cracks and crevices near the gear shift.

Don't go to car wash places buy 2 buckets and lots of microfiber towels. Read this and you will thank us in the long run. Good wash takes 30 minutes max and it's a great work out!

Microfiber is your friend...
Griots makes a great line of car care products, by the way. For my tires, I use their tire dressing, and apply it with a 2" paint brush, then wipe with dry rag. Tires shine like crazy, and it lasts longer than all the other products I've tried.
I also like their speed shine for in between serious wax jobs.

Default 303 products

Get yourself some 303 Protectant for the vinyl and smooth surfaces. It has a 40 spf sunscreen. Also, pick up some 303 Fabric Guard. Spray the cloth and carpeted areas and let it dry. Everything will wipe up with a microfiber cloth like the previous poster said. Collinite wax is the best I've ever used. Expensive but last a long time.

Thanks all, Unfortunately I live in an apartment building so I have a shared lot which makes doing my own detail a pain. But I guess that is what friends are for. I'll take some suggestions and post when I get a chance in the next week or so.

Also, for those of you who have a touring with the heated seats can you let me know how fast your seats heat up? I turned on the seat warmers just to try them out and drove to work (about a 10-15 min ride) and the seats didn't really heat up very well, it was barely noticeable. In my last car (Mitsubishi Outlander XLS) by the time I got to work you would be sweating if it wasn't winter. Are my seats defective? Does it take longer to heat up? or is this just how they are in the Z?

damn I think my seat warmers aren't working, hope its just is some loose wiring.

Z-Girl can you explain the S-Mode? I know it does rev matching for up and down shifting, and that all you have to do is just put your foot on the clutch and shift. I'm just confused as to whether you are supposed to have your foot on the gas or take it off when shifting till the rev match kicks in.

I'm used to driving without the S-Mode so I naturally want to ease some gas as I release the clutch but it isn't smooth on the S-Mode, I think it drives much smother with S-Mode off and I think you have better control of the power. But I also think I am using s-mode wrong.

Thanks

If I put mine on high, my butt gets warm pretty quick (less than 60 secs). Maybe you are using the low setting.
