I have a new 370 and the owners manual does not specify synthetic oil. I know once you start with synthetic you can't go back. Should I move to synthetic

synthetic or not
I have a new 370 and the owners manual does not specify synthetic oil. I know once you start with synthetic you can't go back.
Should I move to synthetic oil or stay with convential 5-30 API ? Am I buying more protection or just waisting money? |

It's up to you. There are tons of oil threads on the board where people fight to the death about which oil is best.

I just called Nissan U S A
Nissan said Ester is recomended. A service rep at a dealer said ester oil is not necessary unless I drive the car hard. The manual does not indicate any specefic oil.
