Doesn't look like it's a sport package. Base rims, no spoiler, no front lip. Did I miss something?

boosteeddc 01-26-2009 08:35 PM

Hey Welcome to the forums. Very nice PG you've got. But your description of the Z shocks me!!! You DO NOT have the sports package. If you did pay extra 3,000 , I want you to either

a. Take your car back and demand another Z with sports package or

b. Get $3000 back.

It's very sad how dealer will lie to their customer who just paid $40K dollars. :shakes head:

Let us know how it goes. If they give you hard time, maybe I can let the Nissan know.

boosteeddc 01-27-2009 01:28 AM

the car was 38k invoice, 42,500 msrp, salesman at reed nissan told me it had sports package... since it was the only 370 sitting there, i couldnt see a sports package in the lot to compare so i didnt know and i was in a hurry, so i tried to negotiate, they said it was a 2009 so they wouldnt come down on the price not even a bit so i said forget it, signed it and drove it off, now that i registered for this forum, i see that i got raped for the sport package part, but ohwell, to save the trouble of going back, im gonna mod it so it dont make a difference

aha .. I see what happened. That's why I always tell people to research before buying a car. Just curious, does it say sports package in the window sticker?

Crash 01-27-2009 03:45 AM

I'm lost... So did you or didn't you pay for the sports package??? I'm guessing by AK's response, you didn't.

Modding it yourself will be fine. Seems that there are a LOT of options right now, almost making the sports package a waste if you're getting the auto. So you'll be just fine.

boosteeddc 01-27-2009 11:14 AM

i believe the window sticker did say sport package also, i got the auto cause its a daily beater so i dont wanna sit in traffic in a manual, but isnt the a/t faster than manual?

I see your point about modding the car and you're obviously in a position where $3,000 won't break the bank, but not every consumer is in that position. I would atleast call him. You don't have to ruffle any feathers. Just let him know he made a mistake. It's possible it may have been inadvertent. Between rims, a body kit and all that other stuff you will probably be spending about $3,000. Maybe he can make the price adjustment without you being present.

This situation is obviously as important as you feel it is, but you should get what you paid for or pay the correct price for what you got. It's not even about the $3,000. It's about the principle and the trust a consumer should expect from a dealership. Again, even if you are not stressing the money at the very least you can save someone else from going through the same thing if they buy from him.
