Hey Colin,
Congratulations and welcome to the club. I can relate to the GTI. I had a 2006 Audi A3 turbo with sport suspension...frigging loved that car. My mods on it were REVO chip, 3" test pipe, 2.75" Miltek exhaust, Carbona intake, custom diverter valve, and a few more things I can't remember. The sport suspension was tight but it could wear on you during long trips. The Z has a much better ride. The only issue with the A3, and probably the GTI, was that when I ran it hard, I would get fuel cuts. They may have remedied this probably by now.But it was a hot topic on the A3 forum back then...aftermarket fuel pumps where being rolled out to VW/Audi owners. I was just about to buy/try one but ended up selling my car.
