Plot Summary:
Henry Cavill plays Superman in director Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel." The film also stars Amy Adams as Daily Planet journalist Lois Lane, and Laurence Fishburne as her editor-in-chief, Perry White. Starring as Clark Kent's adoptive parents, Martha and Jonathan Kent, are Diane Lane and Kevin Costner.

Squaring off against the superhero are two other surviving Kryptonians, the villainous General Zod, played by Michael Shannon, and Faora, Zod's evil partner, played by Antje Traue. Also from Superman's native Krypton are Lara Lor-Van, Superman's mother, played by Ayelet Zurer, and Superman's father, Jor-El, portrayed by Russell Crowe. Rounding out the cast are Harry Lennix as U.S. military man General Swanwick, as well as Christopher Meloni as Colonel Hardy.

im hoping this movie doesnt blow. the last one was total garbage. im not getting my hopes up at all

I'm a big superman fan... This looks promising but Nolan disappointed me on the dark knight rises. That movie was a fail for me...

If Zack Snyder (the director) proved his worth with his previous movies, "Immortals", "Watchmen", "300", this should prove to be a hit. We shall wait and see. The funny part is, there has still been no script released and no other leaked footage. That's pretty amazing to be honest.

because ironman is the first superhero to have the ability of flight ofcourse...

The suit has changed. No red underwear and Louis lane in this movie is a red hair. But that doesn't bother me.. I still want to see it!

I agree i have all those movies man! But Superman has always been a hard franchise to make movies out of.

I think Nolan and Snyder make a good team. I just don't wanna get my hopes up.

Agree with most of you.. the last remake such donkey's you know what. Hopefully this one will be good. And I like the idea to use someone who's not super famous to play the role of Superman.

Like everyone else my childhood superhero is man of steel superman. Every time I love to see him in movies just like in the comics. So waiting to see this movie too.

I love what Christopher Nolan did with Batman. I hope to see a three part series with Superman. But as much as some might not like it would be cool if they bring in Doomsday that kills Superman. Like the comics. Different spin on things.

No use in starting another thread. I just bought my ticket and I'm ready to watch this bad boy. I've read the reviews and they've been mixed--but more on the positive.

Has anyone actually seen this movie? Comments? Gripes? Not enough action? Did it focus on Clark too much (but that's the point though, isn't it?) Was Zod just a pathetic actor hired by the main antagonist for misdirection :stirthepot:? Anyway, please post your thoughts on Man of Steel :tup:.

They have already confirmed a second movie is already being produced, they want it out ASAP.
Also, more rumors of a Justice League movie being written, but still sketchy on actual details.

I liked it too. there was a few choices they had superman make i didnt care for but all in all it was good. I thought Zod and the bad guys looked like Gears of War and the girl was bad *** sort of looked and moved like Raiden from metal gear

They changed it but it wasn't bad. I like how this one was more a serious tone. I didn't hear no corny jokes.

As long as there's no Nuclear Man or Evil Twin Clark BS, I'm in. The last three movies have set the bar pretty low for me.

Just saw it, definitely better than superman returns lol didn't like the background advertising was like a long commercial sequence for promoting ads.

I haven't seen it yet but I sure hope the Superman movie franchise takes off, I really want to see Doomsday and Darkseid in movies because they're my favorite DC villains and would look so badass when computer animated :excited:

I thought it really sucked. First 1/2 hour was good but then it was just superman and the bad guys throwing each other through buildings, tearing up streets, back and forth, back and forth.

I was expecting better for a summer movie. Fast and Furious 6 was great as well as Star Trek and Iron Man 3.

I was dissappointed Tom Welling didnt get the part. Not any more! I loved it. Gonna see it again next weekend. I grew up with superman. this one is the best .Henry Cavill has that charm, grace and power that just fits the part. Wish i could have Amy adams . Cast was great. It was real but still a movie whenever Superman appeared. Cant say enough.

Considering the last movie was basically a chick flick, I'm on board specifically for the *** whipping.
