Yea never thought he would kill Eugene. Why kill him when you now have a way to reuse all those empty casings? I mean, they should've ran outta ammo fu**ing years ago.

DCNISMO 12-12-2016 11:41 AM

They can find lead to make bullets, but where is the magic cache of firing pins? If anything they should have regressed to making black powder. Finding shell grade powder and firing pins....no to believable.

SHHHHHHHHH........ if were gonna start nitpicking then what about the gas, working cars, batteries, electricity, oil, how the ******* grass never grows over everything, the constant can food supply, the guns that never jam yet have been sitting in a grassfield for the past 10years, on and on and on and on and on and on and on we go. Where the absurdity ends? Nobody knows.

DCNISMO 12-12-2016 02:58 PM

Plus Carl has grown three feet or so........

I think in the comic they actually find an armory with supplies for re-using casings, adding powder, etc, but all in all, yeah, they should be throwing rocks at each other or using blunderbusses by now...

Regarding, Negan, I have mixed feelings about the loss of the beard too... JD Morgan isn't quite physically imposing enough to be Negan, but he makes up for it with his acting chops. He did seem more menacing with the beard tho'... oh well.

You never know who the show will choose to kill or not -- it seems like they are sort of trying to make sure people alive at this point stay alive and people who were supposed to be dead are eliminated (Abraham, for example, was killed by a crossbow bolt in the comic, well before the Glen execution, but in the end, he's still dead at this point).

As to Eugene,
( Click to show/hide )
in the comic right now he's busy making bullets for the ongoing Whisperer War, so alive as of now...
well, I'm sure somebody else can learn to make bullets if he doesn't make it back...

Pretty solid episode to take us into the mid-season break. The only complaint I have was the weird bit at the very end when they all stood around the Hilltop smiling at each other. Not what I would have chosen for the final scene.

I'm interested to see Negan's reaction to Daryl's empty cell when he gets back to camp. I wonder if we'll find out who left him that note?

And who was the guy watching Rick and Erin on the boat? I can't think of anyone from the comics that it could be. Was it the guy who put up the sign or someone else entirely? I thought I saw a dead body on the boat when they crawled aboard, but maybe that wasn't him.

Yeah, agreed. That ending was another AMC forced "Hallmark Moment" of warm fuzzies.

Zombie apocalypse stories are not meant to be uplifting, and especially not the Walking Dead :shakes head:

Not a Spoiler: In the most recent issue, immediately after a big battle, zombie and human corpses strewn about, a main character looking at all the death and destruction says, "Yay. We won." and stares out blankly.

That's about as uplifting as TWD is supposed to get :icon17:

Anyway, I have a guess who the mysterious watcher might have been, but this one is a spoiler... it may very well have been one of
( Click to show/hide )
the Whisperers, a group who wear zombie hides, live more or less like animals, and blend in with, and even control, herds of the undead --
they don't particularly like Rick's group... or anyone who is "normal" really.

But, it could just as easily have been the one Kingdom guard (knight?) who for some weird reason is a post-doomsday "doomsday prepper" Like, dude, it happened, and you have shelter, food, water, a horse and cool BMX body armor, so chill! :icon17:

Well I can't really read any other posts in this thread since it is poisoned by bald spoilers, but I have to say that the mid-season made all the exposition episodes worth it.

Negan might just be misunderstood. He is definitely entertaining.

( Click to show/hide )

"You got no guts!" - best line this season.

I would have quit the show if Rosita was offed or disfigured!

It looks like Eugene may be the most valuable person in the world at this point. It could be good, it could be bad.

Father Gabrial is starting to come around.

nah, I'm voting for this as best line of the season:
"In case you haven't caught on, I just slid my d**k down your throat... and you thanked me for it."

It's the smile & tone of Negan & utter disgust in ricks face that makes it so f**king good lol.

Rosita's face will remain unmarred (other than the little cut she suffered on Sunday) if they keep to the comic...

annnnd, that's all I'm going to say :icon17:

I don't know, I almost didn't like that scene at all. It didn't seem to be quite in character. Fitting in a perfect disembowelment during his punchline, now that's Negan.

He seems to respect the rebellious, dangerous people, but not respect or care for his followers like Rick. I guess that will bite him in the *** and that is the whole point of the show. Well that, and making stupid decisions that get people killed.

Fine! I will buy the damn graphic novel!

I read A Song of Ice and Fire, and still loved every second of Game of Thrones.

Sounds just like my ex wife

DCNISMO 12-14-2016 12:37 PM

Yes I might go buy the graphic novels too and binge read them till I get caught up too. I have a comic shop on my street that has them all.

Jordo! 12-14-2016 07:04 PM

You guys will definitely see a different Governor if you do -- I really liked AMC's versin of him, but the comic version is a bit more, er, violent ...
