Going to play Carnak for a minute... From his spelling, I'm pretty sure he's a Brit or an Aussie... going to go out on a limb and guess Brit... English (nothing wrong with that, just trying to triangulate on why he is debating for no reason)... did 1-2 semesters of film school and thinks his tastes are 'refined' and his intellect is super high, probably backed up by a 132 IQ ... he's a liberal by US standards, perhaps a writer... and he does in fact have a 'horseface'

Hey Horseface, I had some of those same thoughts during the movie, but so what? why not let go of the baggage and enjoy yourself? I'm not trying to pick a fight, just trying to do TRW a favor - none of them like it when you act this way either! :P

... so back on the film, why is it that 'Saito' is so old in the deep level dream but 'Cobb' seems relatively young?

... also, if there is going to be a sequel, really hoping this doesn't go the way of the matrix 2/3... there's plenty more that can be done with with the idea of inception and possibility of architecting worlds / scenes barely limited by reality... and possibly introducing characters that have unique capabilities within the dreams, as with Mal and Cobb

:iagree:

I heard at the end of the credits you could hear the top drop to the table.

Nolan poured 8 years of his life into this script and it clearly shows.

Remember, in these dream worlds, the subconscience still ages (seen with Cobb and his wife in their shared dream) at an exponential rate compared to upper levels of shared dreams and reality (reality = 6 min, dream = hour, 2nd level = 10 hours, etc. etc).

I think because Saito entered that level x number of minutes before Cobb did (relative to the 3rd dream world time), it meant Saito spent much, much longer time there before Cobb even showed up.
