When do people start putting on winter tires around here? Obviously I have a different car now (370Z -> Evo X), but I'm debating between the Blizzak LM-60's or the Continental DWS. Are the winters severe enough for a full winter tire or would the all-season do it? I have summer tires on the car right now.

I'm in KC and have done fine with all-season though snow tires would be better.

Mine set all winter, well when it snowed. These cars are horrible in the snow. I couldn't even get up a slight incline and basically was burning the tires off to get out of any parking spaces with snow. At the same time I will walk before I give up my Z.

Sh!t!!! My youngest son has a hockey game at 215 that day in Fairview Heights. It's my weekend, so I have to take him. If we go early, I could do it, but I would have to be home by noon to 1230 ish.

It's the way it goes I guess. I have winterized mine. Doesn't mean I can't get it out though.

Nothing special. I just treat the fuel for the long sit and cover it up. Then change the fluids when it comes out.
