The mic i used was a POS sony mic.
- I'd recommend some CRAZY good wind sock for the thing. Or whatever you call those fuzzy things that cover mic's.
- I put the mic Inside the car. Anything outside gets killed by wind noise.

OH and for your GoPro, you need to buy an attachment which allows audio-in.

That's what I was worried about with the whitelines, as i read a few issues about them before. Strange for such a reputable company to have issues like this.
 on the mic. I saw before a forum member had the go pro mounted on the quarter window door or hood, but ran a cord to the mic mounted between his exhaust pipes. Sounded fantastic.
